Keith Chung Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I was weighing 357 pounds in July of 2005. I had Gastric Bypass with Dr. Chung. Now, 6 months later, I am 100 pounds lighter and feel great. Dr. Chung and Marcie took great care of me. I would do the surgery again today if I needed it. My work habits have changed dramatically and I have so much more energy. Thank you Dr. Chung.

Thank God for Dr. Keith Chung and his staff. They have changed my life forever. If anyone is thinking about having Bariatric Surgery, I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chung. There should be more Doctors like him. He is a very caring person and doctor. Thank You Dr. Chung and Marcie. May God bless you both.

I would like to say that I have been very pleased with the outcome of my bypass. I just wish that I would have known about this procedure a year or two earlier. I would have had it done then! My medical problems have almost disappeared completely since my bypass. Anyone thinking about this procedure, all I have to say is GO FOR IT! Don't hesitate. Do it. The energy level isso much better. I can do so much more since surgery. I have been dancing, which is something I haven't been able to do in 15-20 years. All there is left to say is GOD BLESS DR. CHUNG AND MARCIE. Thank you.

I was very impressed with Dr. Chung the first time I met him. I attended one of his monthly seminars about surgery. He was extremely knowledgeable, attentive to our questions and individual circumstances. He let us know he was not attempting to have us chose him as our surgeon, only to give as much information on all surgeries as he could. He has a very light personality, great sense of humor, and always ready and willing to help. I am extremely impressed that he holds a monthly support group meeting for all who have had any type of obesity surgery to talk about topics that apply. He also opens the floor to anyone to speak at any time, ask any questions we want. He is very eager to help people become healthy, not just out to make money. He explained the risk for all surgeries, how each surgery works and the benefits. I rate him MOST EXCELLENT and his surgical competence and bedside manner are terrific. His staff is wonderful and we have the ability to contact someone 24-7, which is very comforting to know I can talk to someone at any time of the day or night, if necessary. The hospital staff was excellent as well. At this point, I honestly do not have anything negative to say, other than he may have been a little more joking when I was deciding which surgery to have, but I have come to learn that is how he is.

My first impression of Dr. Chung is that he is a
warm, caring, and truly compassionate person.
He explained everything in full detail. The entire office staff were very helpful. Marcie is a God send. Truly a fantastic person.

When I first met Dr. Chung I was with a friend going for her consultation. He was very concerned and compassionate about her situation. I had never been to a doctor’s office that really cared so much about their patient's.

I had been trying to get the surgery with another doctor (before I learned of Dr. Chung), I immediately changed my mind and used Dr. Chung. I AM SO GLAD I CHANGED MY MIND!!!

The staff was so kind and helpful with everything (specially the insurance). Then there was Marcie. Marcie is the bomb. She will help you with any problems that you might have or send you in the right direction. She is very kind and always willing to help. And you can always reach her.

There is not one bad thought, word or comment I can say about Dr. Chung and his Staff. I RECOMMEND ANYONE TO DR. CHUNG AND HIS GREAT STAFF.

My first inpression of him was that he is a very caring man. He was very upbeat and likes to talk. That means alot to me. His office staff was wonderful. His nurse was very nice. She talked to me and my husband like she had known us all our life. I would give Dr Chung and his staff a perfect 10 on my scale. I think surgical competence is the most important when choosing a Dr. But I am very lucky Dr Chung I feel has great surgical competence and I think he will have an wonderful bedside manner. So I consider myself lucky to have the best of both... 11/22/05 I just wanted to take a minute to thank Dr Chung he has really saved my life. I feel great and have not been sick the first time. I have never been this happy. It is like I look into the mirror everyday and slowly I am seeing a new person staring back a me. Thank you so much Dr Chung and Marcy you 2 are very wonderful people.

First of all, Dr. Chung and his staff are awesome! You will not find another Dr. or staff members that are so understanding and compasionate with everyone. When I first began my journey, I went to the seminar interested in having lapband surgery. My exact words to Dr. Chung during the seminar was "I'm chicken crap and I'm not going to have the gastric bypass". I just laughed it off and went about my business. When I was able to make my appointment with Dr. Chung, he was very informative. He told me that he completely understood my fears and said that I had a right to be fearful. However, during my appointment, he told me something that I will never forget. He told me that he would put a band on me tomorrow, but didn't think that I would be happy with my decision. He also told me to look at the risk of the surgery compared to the risk of me staying the way I was, the risk are no greater. He never pressed me into anything. He told me that I had the finally decision. I felt that this was the hardest decision that I needed to make. I cried and prayed all the way home. I knew that I wanted to spend more quality time with my children and husband, but I just did not know if this was the answer. After two days, God gave me a peace about the surgery and that all would be well. I'm hear to tell you that I am 3 months postop and doing great. I have recommend this type of surgery to all of my family and friends with the exception that they see Dr. Chung, he is the best!

I am 36 years old with health problems that was spiraling downward until I met Dr. Chung and Marcie at his seminar. I was so impressed about the information from the seminar, I made an immediate appointment with Dr. Chung. My first impression of Dr. Chung and Marcie was "Christians". Dr. Chung and Marcie was so patient and caring with me. They actually made me feel good about myself before the surgery. Dr Chung informed me and my spouse throughly of all the risks and benefits of the surgery and I knew right away that I was placed in good hands and that it was ok to have my surgery. Before and now after the surgery I feel very confient in choosing Dr. Chung as my surgeron. I recommend Dr. Chung to all who is fighting this ugly battle of obesity. Before my surgery Marcie was there, the first face I remember seeing after coming through was Marcie. I rate Dr. Chung and Marcie on a scale of 1-10 a "15" because of how they both goes over and beyond to ensure your before and after care is where it needs to be. Having the Lap Band Surgery by Dr. Chung is the best decision I have ever made.

I had a very good experience. My doctor, Dr. Keith Chung, and his nurse, Marcie were the best. He is very knowledgable and has a great bedside manner. Both of them are there to answer any questions I may have. Overall my favorite thing about Dr. Chung and his staff are how helpful and supportive they are. I would and do recommend Dr. Chung to everyone.
