Keith Chung Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Chung and his staff. They have helped me change my life and I cant express how much that means to me. They are always there to answer my questions and encourage me whenever I needed. I can never repay Dr. Chung for the difference he has made in my life. I traveled 8 hours round trip to use him as my surgeon and it was worth every second. My husband will be using him too. He has also done surgery on several of my husbands co-workers with no complications. I recommend him to everyone that ask me for a referral.

In 2003 I was patient #33 for Dr. Keith Chung. I was completely satisfied with the care I received before, during, and after surgery. Today I'm looking into having a gastric sleeve done and I wouldn't consider having any other surgeon perform my surgery except Dr. Chung!

Although I am happy with my RNY results, I have not been very happy with my surgeon or the staff. I had a visit at a month out, and then at 3 months out I was told I would be doing blood work (which I did) and then would come to the office to go over results, and do a food diary. All I got was a phone call telling me that my protein was a little low. Now I am having to use him for an incisional hernia repair, and I called a month ago to set the apt up, and was told to be there on the 10th for my pre-op testing and surgery would be the 14th. I get there and all they do is look at the hernia, then I am asked when I want surgery. I told them they were suppose to already have me scheduled for the 14th, yet they didn't! SO I have to spend my whole day in that area, which is an hour and a half away just to be sure that things got done, so I can have surgery!

Dr. Chung and his staff was very patient, helpful,and made sure I understood the entire process. I was educated on every stage and well informed on what to look for and what to expect. I give him and his team 5 stars. The many questions I had from insurance approval all the way to recovery they answered and did not show any signs of frustration with me. I feel welcomed at every visit.

He is a great doctor and gave great info to help me make up my mind on the surgery I wanted and got. I had the Gastric Bypass RNY on 11-11-11 and have had no issues with my wls and could not be more pleased with it at this point. His office staff make me feel well as if they have known me for years. The office is very clean and welcoming. They always have samples of produces to try before you buy and I love that.

Doctor Chung has been such an amazing doctor/surgeon. I was a little unfortinate when it came to the complitcations, but through it all I felt I had amazig support from the hospital staff as well as his office, and most of all HIM!! He gets to know a patiant on a one to one basis instead of the quick in and out most doctors seem to be these days. He gave up a couple of days of vacation to take over care on my case when we realized problems had arrised from the surgery itself at a month out. He was very comforting in making sure I knew what was going on and where the pain was coming from. Even with the complications I have had I would make the same decision all over again. Doctor Chung and his Staff have become a big part in my life at this moment and I am soooo thankful I found such a wonderful doctor. My husband is considering the surgery and if he goes forward with it Doctor Chung is the surgeon he will be using!!

I have had many friends that have gone to see Dr. Chung and have had nothing but wonderful things to say about him.

After meeting him I understood what they meant. His reputation superseded him.

He is very polite and professional he made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He is extremely knowledgeable in all the procedures and made sure that I was making the right choice.

His staff are wonderful and very informative. They make you feel like you are an individual and not just another number. If I had any post or pre-op questions or concerns, no matter how big or small they would take the time to answer anything. My experience with Dr. Chung and his staff is nothing less than Amazing! I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Keith Chung is my all time forever favorite doctor, surgeon and superman. I had my gastro intestinal bypass surgery over 6 years ago. The only time I gained weight was after I adopted a 16 year old troubled teenager. I've lost 10lbs since she graduated and am back in my jeans. If I had it all to do over again, I would not jump on board faster. Dr. Chung and his staff are the best at what they do.

My First impression was, wow he's nice.

My impression got better with time. He even called me at home after I was discharged just to check on me.


The JP drain tube was very painful coming out.

I don't think there was anything that didn't like about Dr. Chung.

I would definately recommend him to anyone.


My overall rating of Dr. Chung and his staff was excellent. I couldn't have asked for better.
Both are a great thing to have. Especially when you are scared.

The hospital staff was nothing more than excellent. What more could I have asked for?
