Dr.Chung and his staff were very nice. On my first visit, he made sure that I understood all the treatment options available to me. He made sure that I was well informed on all options. After he had explain these things he suggested that I do as much research as neccessary on my own to make sure I was confident this is what I wanted to do. He made me feel that he was concerned about me, as a person, not just another surgery he would be performing. I spoke to his staff on the phone and they are just wonderful, happy and cheerful.
I am 2 month post-op and I am just now getting around to tell everyone about my experience. I was very impressed the first visit with Dr. Chung. The staff was very helpful and answered all any questions without getting aggravated. This is a whole new experience for me and I found they really took the time to make sure I understood the risks as well as the benefits. I found it helpful to attend Dr. Chung's siminar on weight Loss surgery to get an in depth understanding of what was going to happen. So far so good. I have lost about 40 pounds and I am so excited about it. Dr. Chung has a gift and he is willing to help others.
Okay first of all I am 6 days out from Lap Band surgery. Wow...is all I can say about Dr. Chung. First impression was....okay, I know you are not Jesus but you sure make me feel comfortable! The staff is great, Darla, Brooke and Marcie are so very helpful. If you are looking into using this office, I think one visit will clear your mind. Aftercare has been awesome, I am not one to whine and complain so maybe I should just to see if this is their weakness, because I sure have not found one yet!!! The risk of surgery was brought to my attention by reading the information they provide to you well in advance of your surgery date. You make notes as you think of them and when you go in for pre op you ask....Simple as that. I will rate him a 10 if we are on a scale 1-10 otherwise whatever the highest is. Surgical competence and bedside manner are both very good...and let me add to I know I said I was 6 days out from surgery and I have not had pain meds. since Sunday. So I am not under the influence of nothing but Thankfulness that I chose Dr. Chung and his staff.....can not say enough good. Marcie is AWESOME! That girl knows her business and if she don't know it, she looks great too....she had Gastric. I would like to know if anyone else in the office has been banded or not? Thanks for being kind from the first phone call I made to the first appt. from the pre op date, surgery and hopefully a good outcome. Thanks again Jenifer Taylor
Well so far I made an appt for 2/15/07 and the women was very nice on the phone, can't wait.rnrnWell had the appt. and just as I thought they are great, and very nice, answered all my questions and is there for me every time I call them, just think if they are this nice and helpful now, can't wait till I get my Approval.. United Health Care is so Slow.
My first impression of Dr. Chung at my first appointment with him was very positive. He made me feel very comfortable and made sure that I had a correct understanding of the type of surgery that I want to have performed as well as the risks associated with it. He also emphasized the fact that patients are very important to him. I was also encouraged to call him if I have any additional questions. I also had a chance to meet his nurse Marcie. She is very friendly and answered all of the questions that I had. So far I rate him very high. I'm hoping to have surgery soon and I feel very confident with having chosen him as my surgeon.
When I had my first visit with Dr. Chung, I immediately felt comfortable. It was embrassing for me to have to go to that meeting since I was a medical person myself, but I was in medical health trouble and he answered all my questions. I felt he was knowledgable on the subject and relieved all my fears. His support group, which he strongly believes in, is held with professionalism and alot of updated materials. I couldn't have asked to be treated as well as I did and still do by all is office staff and nurse. They are always friendly, helpful and encouraging. Dr Chung and his staff keep us informed about any updated complications and makes sure that we know how to handle them. I believe in his surgical competence so much that I have referred many of my friends to him to go and sit down and discuss their weight and health problems with him. They have come back with the same feelings that I have, and many have gone on to have their surgeries with Dr. Chung and his staff.
My first impression of Dr. Chung was OK. He seems really nice and was ready to answer any questions that I had. He seems to be in a hurry, though. His office staff was very nice. He wanted to make sure I knew what was going to happen and what my surgery entailed. I did my research before my appointment so I didn't have a lot of questions. I'm sure I'll have more for my next pre-op appointment later on this week.
My first impression of Dr. Chung was that I found him to be very professional yet very friendly and comforting. He always had my best interests in mind and knew just when to make me laugh :). His staff is wonderful as well, they really know how to make you feel like part of a big family. I was very confident in Dr. Chung and his surgical capabilities and was never worried about being under his care. The nurses at the hospital were also very wonderful and caring and helped in every way they could. I would recomment Dr. Chung and his staff to anyone! I feel very blessed to have recieved such great care with Dr. Chung and his staff.
My first impression of Dr. Chung was nuetral. I had heard so many great things about him so I really didn't have anything negative to think about him. The office staff was extremely friendly and curteous. They were very eager to answer any of my questions and was very patient with me (seeing that I changed surgery date about 4 times due to trying to fit it around my husbands schedule). My first office visit was very short and straight to the point. I had did all my research and knew exactly what I wanted. My advice to any future patient is to make sure you know exactly what you want. Do your homework not only on the procedure but also on the Doctor and hospital where your procedure will be performed. I would rate Dr. Chung as a 8 so far. No one is perfect. As of today 11/11/06 I have not had my surgery yet it is scheduled for 11/14/06. I will let you know how it went.
