Dr. Huse gave the 1st impression of being interested in my concerns and with improving my health. Over time my impression has not changed. His office staff has been very professional and has been very helpful in assisting me with any issues that have arisen. Any person considering this surgery should know that, in my opinion Dr. Huse is the best, and comes highly recommended by his peers. Dr. Huse and his associates have a very good and well structured aftercare program that looks at all medical asspects along with dietary concerns. Dr. Huse and his associates cover orientation on all aspects of bariatric surgery addressing the risks, and the surgery best suited for an individuals success. His bedside and surgical competence are excellent and he makes it comfortable for you to discuss anything you're concerned with, without fear of embarassment.

had my initial consult with dr.huse on april 29th in the new offices at st.vincents bariatric treatment center.(i love those big chairs) dr.huse was great!very informative, answered all of our questions!generally all around good feeling about him.

GOOD GUY. TO THE POINT, ATTENTIVE, PERSONABLE.

I have coronary artery disease and suffered a heart attack two years ago, so I never considered I would be a candidate for bariatric surgery. However, after my last heart procedure my Cardiologist recommended the surgery and suggested I have Dr. John Huse, calling him a "doctor's doctor". He told me if he were having it, this is the man he'd want to do it. So far I've had one meeting with Dr.Huse at my initial consultation. He was very informative and answered every question answered. I felt very reassured. I would describe him as a soft spoken and quiet person, but I'd rather have the best surgeon than someone who cracks jokes all the time. He thoroughly explained the risks, the importance of staying with the program, including support groups, exercising after surgery and why some experience difficulties. He explained the risks of blood clots and the mortality rate. Even though I've only had one meeting with him, I liked him very much.

03-04-03 Dr. Huse is a very learned man.
He was very direct and to the point about both types of surgery that are offered and the possible complications of each. After the group session, everyone got to meet with him individually. He asked for pertinent health history information during that meeting.
The office staff were very helpful and friendly.

My first impression of Dr. Huse is that he is very good at what he does. He has done it many times and knows what he is doing. His manner is very businesslike, but that doesn't bother me. If you want someone who is warm and fuzzy, you may not like him.

The staff at St Vincent Bariatric is very caring and has been helpful at gaining the information needed to help me.

Dr. Huse staff hass been very patient and helpful in helping me get approvals (Yes, I said more than one!). When my husband changed jobs before my surgery date, they helped me through the process a second time.

Dr. Huse was very straightforward about the risks and the kind of attention and cooperation required to make the surgery a success. There was an emphasis on the support group meetings (a post-surgical requirement)for the patient. I have received a wellness profile to establish what my problems are and how to overcome them.
My personal physician recommended Dr. Huse to me as the best in his field.

2-8-03 Dr. Huse is an angel :) I'm now 2 weeks post op... and feel great !! His care has been very thorough, and he goes over everything with you.. never making you feel like he's rushed, so you can ask all the questions you like. I can't recommend him highly enough !!!

3/17/02 Saw Dr Huse today.. a very quiet and soft spoken man and I felt immediately comfortable. He wanted a test ran, some kind of camera down into my stomach so he could check out what was there before he made a decision.. but.. hopefully this week.. I'll hear what he decides.

Intial visit will be 2/8/02. At St. Vincent's in Indy.
2/8/02 - Int. visit today with about 15 other people. Dr. Huse started with 1hr.
presentation then he answered questions.
after that he met with each potential
patient individually. He was very professional and informative.

3/30/02 - Dr. Huse's office staff and the staff at St. Vin.'s, has been great! I live about 100 miles from Indianopolis, and they have been great at calling me and getting my pre-surgery scheduled appointments done at convenient times and in all other general areas they have been nothing but the best!

5/22/02 - I'm home from my surgery and I'm feeling great, Dr. Huse was nothing but GREAT, you couldn't ask for a surgeon who was willing to sit each day in my hospital room and talk and tell whatever I wanted to know plus he has a pretty good sense of humor, that I didn't see at the initial consult. Oh also his staff has been great at helping me with whatever I need and playing phone tag with me to answer questions. Thumbs UP !!! on this medical practice.

2/3/03 - I had hernia surgery done today by Dr. Huse and what can I say, the man is an artist. Since I have been returning for my aftercare checkups and this hernia surgery he has been nothing but great !!! The best way I can describe him is my wife who does not like doctors in general very much, thinks she would like having him as a PCP, because of his bedside manner.

Meet with Dr. John M. Huse on December 17th of 2002. First impression was he is a very educated man. There was nothing that he didn't answer when asked. Very up front and on the level. I was very please and very comfortable around him, and talking to him.

I would recommend him to anyone! And have. Can't wait to have my surgery
