DR.VAUGHAN HAD A VERY GOOD BEDSIDE MANNER I FEEL THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT. THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND DR.VAUGHAN ANSWER MY LONG LIST OF QUESTIONS.

I thought that Dr Vaughan was a very nice and funny man. He seems to have compassion for for the obese and likes what he is doing.
I attended a lecture given by Dr. Vaughn. He was very informative, caring, and approachable. So far his staff have been extremely helpful. I am already approved and finishing up some pre-op tests before I am scheduled. I don't feel like I have had to do much to get this going. I haven't actually gone under the knife yet...but so far I am happy with the progress/speed at which this is going.

The first time I saw Dr Vaughan was on a tape that his office sent me explaining the exact surgery he does. Then he requires that you attend one of his lectures. So, I drove down to Jupiter for the lecture. I knew by the end of it that he was the one I wanted to do my surgery. His office staff was wonderful and always helpful no matter when I called and no matter what question I had. They lined everything up for me in a matter of about two weeks since I had the pre op testing done. Everything went smooth. His bedside manner was just fine. I felt well informed, especially with the pre and post op classes you must attend. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
First impression of Dr. Vaughan is that he has a wonderful bedside manner.
It was comforting for me to meet a doctor with a personality. Dr. Vaughan is very quick witted and although I am very nervous about surgery, he still made me laugh during my pre op consultation with him.
His office staff seems very very efficient and every time that I called, EVERYONE I spoke to said to call ANYTIME.. and it was heartfelt. The staff and Dr. Vaughan are turly caring people.
The risks of surgery were NOT vague. Dr. Vaughan went into great detail explaining all the possible risks and side effects of surgery. He even went as far as to hand out a Bariatric Surgery Handbook which had all the info that I needed from Pre Op to Post Op...
On a scale of 1-10 I would rate Dr. Vaughan an 11!!
Dr. Vaughan is very personable and caring. I felt instantly comfortable with him and he was patient and answered all my questions. He explained the procedure in lay terms and made me clearly aware of what the outcome of the procedure would be and what the risks were. I am twelve weeks post op and I feel great. I did have a problem a few weeks ago and called the office to talk to a nurse. I received a call back from Dr. Vaughan himself instead of from his nurse. I was very impressed with that. I hve worked in the Health Care Industry for 25 years and I know that physcians don't always take that kind of time with their patients.
Dr. Vaughan has a great program for follow-up. He has created a Bariatric Gastric Bypass owners manual that he insists that you follow as closely as possible.
I rate Dr. Vaughan as highly as possible. I can't say enough about him or his staff.
I have only met Dr Vaughan at his lecture. My pre-op consult is in a week. His staff is absolutely the best. They always take calls and also answer the numerous questions you have. Dr Vaughan has a great aftercare program from everything I have read.
I had my consult, and the surgery. I must say I thought Dr. Vaughan was great. He came to the hospital twice a day to check on me. After I left the hospital, he was always available to answer any questions. His office staff is the best, Debbie and Tina especially. Dr. Vaughan also has two assistants who have an office in the hospital wing where the patients recover. They are Kerrie and Joanna. Kerrie handles all the meetings and admin stuff, while Joanna is an RN who handles all the food and med questions. She also is really good at finding good iv sites. And they both run the support group meetings. The hospital provides 3 months of free gym/pool at their wellness center. Overall, I would rate Dr. Vaughan as excellent, his bedside manner and surgical competence are terrific. Staff was a pleasure to deal with. And the best part is that they all seem to really care about how you are and your results. I felt for me, Dr. Vaughan was a good choice. I was able to speak to him comfortably, and he, along with Kerrie and Joanna are healthcare professionals and really seem to understand what an obese patient has to go through.
