Dr. Vaughan is a very nice person who is very available for his patients. I had great confidence in him.
Carol, his office coordinator, was very helpful. I think she may be alittle over whelmed with the number of pt's she is handling, but very kind and eager to help in any way.
Dr. Vaughn and his staff are absolutely wonderful. He explained the entire procedure to myself and my husband. My husband is actually getting excited about this now.
He says that if you are willing to pay cash, he is willing to schedule you outside of his normal surgery schedule. He is doing my surgery on Wednesday, and he doesn't do surgery on Wednesday. Evidently, cash really talks because my evaluation was on March 3 and my surgery is on March 7.
Dr. Vaughn really emphasizes aftercare, but he is also very impressed with the online support that we have at obesityhelp.com. He said that as good as this is, most people who can't go personally to the support meetings are doing quite well by using this website as their support..
On a scale of 1 to 10, right now I would rate him a 15. I will re-evaluate after the surgery.
Dr. Vaughan is a very nice man. He spent a long time with me and went over EVERYTHING. I have had my fill of whiney-assed little doctors telling me to eat a carrot and walk. There is not a person on this site that doesn't know about diets, nutrition and exercise. Being fat does not mean you are stupid and we should all be tired of being treated like we are retarded. If you are going to a doctor that wants you to write a book about why you are fat, or wants you to lose 40 lbs. first to prove yourself before they will do you this big favor and operate on you, then YOU HAVE THE WRONG DOCTOR!! Get your power back. There are doctors like Dr. Vaughan that sincerely want to help you and those are the kind we need for this kind of operation. Call Carol in his office @ 561-747-8100. Don't sit in front of the computer trying to write an essay on why you are so pitiful, or starve yourself for months trying to lose 40 lbs. - just so some doctor will do their job!
