My first impression of Dr. Juarez was that he was a very soft spoken, caring person and I still feel that way. The staff at his office is very friendly and helpful, especially Jane the nutritionist. I can't think of anything I like "least" about him.I've seen him twice since the surgery and don't feel any differently.
There is a very structured aftercare program with a new support group that has just started in the Tucson area.Surgery was in Phoenis so you can see it is outreaching. I would recomend him to anyone. Surgical competence, bedside manner are both important and he has both.
My first impression was very good. He is very personable but he rushed thru my visit due to his schedule being so full.
I was less than impressed with his staff. My paperwork was lost for 2 months. Very Unorganized!
yes
He explained the risk of the surgery very thouroughly.
So far, I would rate him a 9 and his office staff a 1.5
surgical competence diffinetly, bedside manner is very short and to the point, didn't see him more than 60 seconds both times I saw him post op. His PA Emile is very nice and takes time with you. He is much easier to talk to .
My first impression of Dr. Juarez was that he is a quiet man but very confident which was comforting. He was by no means arrogant which to me was a blessing. I felt very relaxed with him during my consultation. He made me feel that this was the right thing to do. His staff was pleasant and easy to work with although it is obvious that they are overwhelmed with work. I feel as if I will be able to call with questions or concerns any time during my pre-op or post-op period. I know that I made the right decision when I picked Dr. Juarez to do my surgery.
Dr. Juarez has been wonderful. My first contact with him was at an informative seminar he gave at the hospital. I was very impressed with him, his knowledge and history with this surgery. He even exhibited a sense of humor which was refreshing. The only complaint that I have is that his office is soooo busy and perhaps he needs more staff to handle it.
The seminar-I'm sure he would have spoken more, but some post-op hogged the whole show. He did get his points across though.
Pre-op visit-Brief, determined I was a candidate.
Pre-surgery- I was determined to have the lap RNY, but I am tiny. 5'3". I begged and pleaded, and he came through. He said I have "tiny parts" and my surgery took a few hours longer than the normal lap. But...he gave me what I wanted.
In-hospital visits-He came every day and throrougly examined me (with his hottie assistant, Emile)
Post-op-Only saw his assistant. Says I'm doing well.
Why don't I say more about Dr. J? Haven't spent enough time with the man.
Now that his office staff has changed somewhat, things are much less stressful.
I really liked the doctor and felt he was very supportive over the entire time. His staff is very friendly and helpful. His Physician's Assistant is very nice too. He is a quiet man but was always very positive. I have heard that he doesn't do as thorough of testing that Dr. Zahn does but felt like he did what he needed to to get the results. He will see you anytime with problems. He does address the risks of the surgery. I would rate him a 9. I felt he had a great bedside manner and his surgical competence was very good.
Dr. Juarez is a great surgeon. He is a quiet man but will take time and answer all of your questions. He did surgery on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. and by Saturday morning I was home from the hospital. I had no complications and very little pain. I owe a lot of this to his skill as a surgeon and lots of experience doing gastric-by-pass. I would highly recommend him.
