I am still pre-op, but so far, Dr Juarez and his office have been positive and encouraging. Dr. Juarez is willing to do a revision of my stomach stapling from 1989. My first appointment was Dec. 2, 2014. He explained what type of surgery I will need to correct my old surgery. The first seminar can be done online. Dr. Juarez is affiliated with the Bridges Center for Surgical Weight Management in Phoenix, AZ
I love Dr. Juarez!!! I had gastric bypass surgery January 2006, never gained the weight back and no complications. Medication after a surgery on my ankle ate two holes in my stomach (perforated ulcers). I was in the ER for hours waiting them they to find a surgeon who could handle laparoscopic surgery. ER staff told me I wouldn't make it to another hospital too dangerous. That surgeon came into meet me & one look I knew he was terrified with what he was facing surgically. Finally I called Dr. Juarez who was off duty for the night, I requested they call him anyway because life & death surgery. Other doctor on duty wanted to do it but Dr. Juarez of course said yes come in ambulance and transport immediately. Ambulance from ER took forever but he waited and was pacing back and forth while his Anesthesiologist tried his best to get answers from me. I was yelling from so much pain; had been for hours. Dr. Juarez saved my life. The next day I was up walking a bit - he was shocked but if you have the best surgeon miracles can happen...
Thank you so much Dr. Juarez...... you saved my life!!! I recently had the Roux-en-Y bypass surgery on 8/29. You have been so kind from start to finish!! According to you everything went "textbook" smooth. I just had my 2 week check up and I feel GREAT!!!!
Thank you for the 'tool' in order to get my health in order and get my confidence back. I want to be healthy for my children....and I am now on my way!!! Your team is awesome and I love you all!! :0)
I had my surgery on May 23, and am feeling well, and moving along on this journey. Dr. Juarez is an excellent surgeon. My incisions are healing fast, and I'm feeling good. He kept me in overnight to insure my lungs were clear and functioning fine.

So far, I've only had my consultation, but I'm very well pleased. He took lots of time asking and answering questions, and making me feel comfortable with what we'll be doing. He also came highly recommended by my pulmonologist and cardiologist.

I had first started out seeing a surgeon at the other Bridges center, but then kept gettin told different stories of requirements and also my appts weren't being made and entered into the system when I make them in person or by phone. Also when speaking to the surgeon, he didnt go over much info with me in the consult. So I was talkin with a friend and she recommended me to her surgeon. Also like my fiance sd, dont jump on the first surgeon ya find, its like buying a car, shop around before buying the one your comfortable with. So I decided to go see Dr Juarez and he was very informative even done an exam at the consult, was impressed with that. And the office staff seemed to have their business together and know what their doing more appropriately. So sadly to say but also gladly to say I have switched to Dr Juarez instead. He made me feel very comfortable. Thank you very much Dr Juarez and staff.

When I first began to consider either bypass or lap band, I went to a different info seminar than Dr. Juarez. At the other place, they just had someone with a slide show, probably not even a nurse. It was not very informative, and fortunately, my insurance ended up not covering me there. So that led me to St. Luke's, where Dr. Juarez, himself, came and spoke to us. He went into great detail, answered questions, and I was very pleased. My pre-surgery appointments went fine, I didn't seem to get a LOT of info, but I got enough. As far as the surgery went, he was wonderful! I work in a medical field, so I can tell a decent doctor from a crappy one, and Dr. Juarez is top notch. Also, the care I received at St. Luke's was the best I've had anywhere. I have had 4 prior surgeries at other hospitals and this was the best care. My post-op visits have been great, I had an issue with pain and Dr. Juarez returned my call right away on a Sunday. He saw me the next day, and I was reassured that it was nothing bad, just pain from where the trocar was placed during the surgery. I am still very happy with him.

I was referred to Dr. Juarez by a surgeon friend of mine. I had a revision and needed a highly experienced surgeon. He has the most experience in bariatrics in Arizona and has done the most revisions and has done several revisions of Dr. Chervnov, who did my original verticle gastroplasty 19 years ago.
He explained everything well. he has a quiet manner. He called me at home to follow up and called me back when I had questions. He was able to do my revision laparscopically which is a rarity.
i am very happy with my care and would recommend him to anyone.
