DR WEISS IS A WONDERFUL MAN AND SURGEON. HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING,HE GETS TO KNOW YOU AND YOUR HEALTH BEFORE HE EVER DOES THE SURGERY. I WAS NOT IN GOOD HEALTH AT ALL BECAUSE OF MY WEIGHT. HE WORKED WITH ME A YEAR AND HIS OFFICE WORKED WITH THE INS COMPANY. I HAD MY SURGERY (RNY) ON APRIL 8TH OF 2004 AND I HAVE LOST 21 LBS SINCE THEN. HE HAS SAVED MY LIFE AND GIVEN ME A NEW ONE. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH HIM AND I TOTALY TRUST HIM TAKING CARE OF ME IN AND OUT OF THE OR. I RATE DR WEISS AND DR OLDHAM BOTH AS A 10+. YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS WITH THEM BOTH.

Dr Weiss and Dr Oldham and thier staff are just great. I have a very favorable first impression and that has not changed jusr gotten
better. His office staff are always very helpful and very friendly and just super nice.

I would and have recommend to anyone who is thinking of having this surgery to go and see them. They are very good with every part of the process and are very willing to help with anything that they can to get you through the process and help with getting you approval form your insurance company.

Two of the nurses in Dr Weiss's office have had theu surgery and can help a lot from personal experience.

Yes they do have a structured after care program and they addressed all the risks involved in the surgery. Dr Weiss even told me that when he came into see me the day after surgery even if I felt o.k. and though I was doing fine if I just didn't look right to him he would take me back into surgery and check everything out right then.

Both surgical competence and bed side manner are great.

I had checked out several other programs before I found Doctors Weiss and Oldham and I am very glad that I found these guys.

The Georgetown Hospital is also a really great place. i still go there and have my blood work done .

I really haven't had any negative experience with them they explained everything we would be going through in great detail answered all of mine and my families questions and they still get beck to me any time I need to call.

I did get a stomache virus when I first came home and it was on a Sunday afternoon when I call the emergency room at the Georgetown Hospital and told them I was a bariatric patient and what was going on and it was not more that 1/2 hour before Dr Weiss called me back and told me what to do and he even called me and my Mom the next morning to see if I was better or I needed to be put back in the hospital.

Thanks,

Dr. Weiss is highly skilled and knowledgable about WLS. His pre op exams and seminars are extensive and complete. All concerns are addressed and answered.

He perform all of his surgeries laparscopically, which is much less invasive than open surgery and requires a much shorter recovery time. His staff is excellent and very helpfull. The aftercare program is second to none and the support groups phenominal.

I would rate Dr. Weiss and his staff, as well as the overall program, as A+ EXCELLENT.

Dr Weiss was very nice concerned and devotes his practice only to wls.

I have not had my first post op visit yet so i am unable to answer that.

The staff works hard as a team to help as many people as possible.

Nothing.

They stongly encourage patients to stay in touch with email toll free # and have a class devoted to the aftercare.

yes
Risks for surgery were explained several times by staff at education class and during consult with MD.

I think Dr Weiss,Oldham and staff are a great team and have worked out a great system for patient seeking wls.

Dr Weiss did a great job with bedside manner and I feel he had a great concern for my health and well being prior and following my surgery.

I liked his looks and his mannerisim, He seemed seemed very confident that he could help me. He made me feel very relaxed and not ashamed of being so fat! I haven't been back to see him since the surgery. I have an appointment Sept.17. The staff was very accomidating to my needs. The thing that I liked the least was that no one called to check on my condition after I was released from the hospital. In past experiences with out-patient surgery there was always a follow up inquiry. There really isn't anything that I can think patients should know about him that I learned during the time I spent with him. After care as well as pre op care is stressed. After surgery it is up to you how you follow the plan they have put in place. Yes, their program is well planned from your first contact, then continuing on. The risk of surgery was well detailed. On a scale of one to five with five being the highest, I would give him a five! Surgicial competence is better, bedside manner is a big plus, both are hard to get!

Dr. Weiss was warm, caring and respectful.

I like him better and better.

His staff is wonderful and do all they can to be helpful.

Can't think of anything.

That he is honest and direct but kind.

He feels aftercare is essential to taking off weight and keeping it off.

Yes, there are support groups and online support.

He was very frank.

A++++++

Surgical competence is most important and it's a real gift when the surgeon is also personable and available.

I first met Dr. Weiss at an informational seminar and was impressed by his depth of knowledge and his straightforward approach. First impressions are true! I have had wonderful care from him and from the Bluegrass Bariatric Surgical staff. I have never felt alone! The support and information sharing have been excellent, and my weight loss experience has been great. Aftercare gets more emphasis than the surgery, which was explained to me in depth.

Dr. Weiss is very professional and knowledgeable about what he does. The office staff at GCH are very friendly and extremely helpful. They emphasize after care support with support group meeting and internet support forums. He was the greatest overall! I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Weiss and his program because there were no negatives!
