My whole experience with Bluegrass Baritrics has been A1.Dr Weiss is top notch as far as I am concerned. After surgery you will not see him most likely but staff will take good care of you. Dr.Weiss and staff is top of the line, You won't go wrong using Bluegrass Baritrics. I would like to see surgeon sometime in aftercare but that probably will not happen if things keep going well.

Dr. Weiss spoke at the siminar I went to and I found out today, Sept. 23, 08, he is my surgeon. I met with him one on one today and he is FABULOUS! Very personable and informative. I am most confident in him!rnrnI had my surgery with Dr. Weiss on October 2, 2008. I am very pleased with him. He is very caring. I had to stay overnight and he checked in on me the next morning. I am completely satisfied with him. I am thankful that he was my surgeon!!rnrnUpdate: July 13, 2009. I am having a revision today with Dr. Weiss. The band just didn't work for me. I am having RNY later today.

I was very impressed with Dr. Weiss. He was kind and sensitive to my need. He was very professional and thorough. His staff was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Weiss addressed the risks of surgery completely and asked if I had any questions or concerns. I would rate him as an excellent doctor and overall good person. I feel surgical competence and bedside manners were great.rnrnThe only thing possibly negative was that Dr. Weiss doesn't have time to do hospital visits after surgery. But, his trusted PA, Tracey was there and very helpful.rnrn

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I have had my pre-op surgery visit with Dr. Weiss. I found him to be very approachable. He sat down with me and explained all aspects of the surgery. He encouraged me to ask questions and gave detailed descriptions of the risks and complications of surgery. I asked him if he would agree to have a prayer before I go into surgery and he said yes. I am a woman of faith so his response means a lot to me. Also, I was impressed that there will be a whole team of medical professionals in the operating room during my surgery. Not only will Dr. Weiss be performing my surgery, but Dr. Oldham will be assisting. I was told this is how they do every surgery. Wow, two for the price of one!

Dr. Weiss was very professional and kind. He was patient with my questions and made me feel comfortable in an awkward situation. His staff was great and friendly. The program I am in places a lot of emphasis on aftercare and support groups. The Dr. was very thorough in explaining the surgery before, during and after. There was nothing I did not like about him. I would give him a great overall rating and his bedside manner and surgical competence at this time seem to be equally acceptable. I have not had the surgery yet but I feel confident that all will be well.

Dr. Weiss took the time to answer any questions that my family or I had during my hospital stay. The office staff is very upbeat and professional. The office and hospital is very accomidating to the obese patient without it being a put down to the individual.rnrnEducation before surgery is very important in the program at georgetown Community Hospital and it is followed up at all of your post surgery appointments.rnrnI would recommend Dr. Weiss and Dr. Oldham along with The Georgetown Community Hospital (A Center of Excellance) to everyone. You are treated individually and they take the time to make each person feel special.

When I first met Dr. Weiss, he was talking to me to make sure I was ready for surgery, and I was a little turned off by his questions. After I left, I realized that he was just wanting to help me in my decision. He was as good as gold to me during and after surgery, and was very caring through the whole experience. I highly recommend dr.'s Weiss and Oldham to anyone.

I've been nothing but impressed by Dr Weiss and the staff at Georgetown. On our first meeting ,he fully informed me of all my options,the risks, and what type of results to expect. he was very professional and my surgury was a breeze!!! I was back to work in 3 days.rn He's ready to answer any and all questions and even attends some of the support group meetings.(as does various other staff such as dietician's,nurses, psychologists, etc..)rn I highly reccommend Dr Weiss and Oldam and the employees at Georgetown to anyone looking to have surgery.rn The only negative aspects I can think of is the amount of time it takes insurance approval(and that varies with who your insurance is through.).rnI would rate Georgetown a 10 out of 10.rnThis is my own personal view of the Dr and staff and each persons outllok and experience may be different..rnrnlisa m.rnLap bandrn10/11/08
