David Suh Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I can not say enough good things about Dr. Suh and his group of profesionals. I was back to work within 2 weeks and I really have not had a lot of problems except getting sick because I either ate to fast or two much. I also had it pretty easy because I had Liproscopic surgery. The doctor has a support group that has realy helped. The office staff is great. Everyone on the staff emphasized to great extent that there are risks and how to avoid a great percentage of them. I think the hardest part of this whole procedure is the fact that they do surgery on the stomic and not the head. I had my surgery June 15, 2005 two weeks before the 4th of July. The whole family and friends got together and every one brought something good to eat and because I was still on a soft diet I could only look at everything and every one eating, that was the hardest, and It was not the doctors fault, It was all in my head. I am doing better now, at least now I can eat a little more.

Dr. Suh is a highly competent and experienced surgeon, and it for this reason that I chose him.

However, he has again and again reinforced my original conviction that surgery is the ONLY social interaction he desires to have with his patients. He is curt, rarely smiles, and don't expect to see him again after you are discharged from the hospital.

Both of my pre-surgery encounters with Dr. Suh were brief and to the point. He does not encourage one to linger and ask those important questions, as he seems to be always in a dreadful hurry.

Also, my one week post surgical visit was with another doctor from the same clinic who treated my intelligent questions with contempt and appeared to regard me as a moron for asking them. He rolled his eyes, sighed and assured me that there is NO difference between Calcium Carbonate and Calcium Citrate, for example.

He was equally impatient with my question regarding the relative merits of soy vs whey proteins. I made the mistake of expecting an educated answer from him, and received none. Be prepared to do all of the research you can, as there is indisputably a significant difference between Calcium Citrate and Calcium Carbonate, as many have learned to their cost.

I chose Dr. Suh for his experience and his competence which are both outstanding, and was personally content to have a doctor who is less than amiable. I am not marrying him, after all. I feel that I made the right decision. And please remember, that these are merely my own personal experiences, and that others may perceive things entirely differently.

Dr. Suh has a gentle bedside manner. He was competant and knowledgable. He was willing to answer questions and made my husband feel more at ease about the surgery itself. From research, I had complete competance in his surgical abilities and went into surgery feeling at ease. At this time the Dr. has applied to be a center of excellence in Bariatric Surgery. The support groups that I have attended have been helpful, and his after care program seems adequit. His Wildomar office is quite small and crowded with slight delays. Over all I rate his staff and abilities very high and would recommend him to others pursuing this surgery. :0)

Dr Suh is a quiet but competent surgeon. I never had any doubts. Thank you Dr Suh!

Dr. Suh is very serious and professional. His office staff is fair. Mo and Michele are great and are extremely busy girls. Dr. Suh is an expert in doing these surgeries and would not have had it any other way. I believe Dr. Suh is an excellent doctor. He is very to the point and not much of a conversationalist.

Dr Suh is the best doc you can ask for he answered all my worries and concerns. I would recommend him to anybody.

Dr. Suh was great. His office was a bit crowded but they really took care of you quick and there was not much waiting. When Dr. Suh came into the exam room he went over everything with us and explained everything in great detail and he answered all of our questions. He was very up front and didn't mince words.

My first imression of Dr. Suh was at his seminar. He was very soft spoken, and had a great surgery record. The second time I saw him was at my consultation. He was very open to talk to. Very professional, he was willing to answer any questions I had for him. His office staff was great, the office is a little small there were a lot of people there. But the wait was not that long. I am not sure why the 8 pages of medical history was for. We never talked about it or I guess he really had no questions to ask me about it. The third time I saw him was at my pre-op appointment. We talked about everything that was going to happen and I was very comfortable with him. I am in great hands.

My first impression of him was that he was quick, matter of fact and to the point, and my impression hasn't hasn't changed. He is a very busy man, but takes the time to make sure all of your questions are answered. Office staff is wonderful! Always courteous, polite and very helpful, Thanks go out to Mo! His aftercare is A+. He makes sure you know what to do, who to call if you have any questions and concerns, and has a pretty strict regimen he wants you to follow when you go home. He addresses everything, the good and the bad. He makes sure you know what you are getting yourself into before you have your surgery. I would definately rate him a 10++++ He has been wonderful. Going into this I was pretty scared that I wouldn't come home, but after talking to him and his other patients, office staff, etc. I went onto that suregry table confident in his abilites and w/o worries. Dr. Suh is a special, wonderful man and I can;t thank him enough for giving me my life back. His surgical competence and bedside manner are both superb. Thanks Dr. Suh, you have truly been a gift from God.
