Can not even begin to express how happy and thankful I am that I found Dr. David Suh! He has truly given me a new life that I am loving again! Labs are perfect and were very scary just seven months ago. My pain is more manageable because I am not lugging around the extra weight. Today I am six months out and Dr. Suh and his amazing staff has made my journey possible. Dr. Suh and his staff care and make sure you feel comfortable in every way with their knowledge, kindness, experience and their genuine personalities!

My RNY surgery was 10 years ago.
I researched and met MANY Doctors before I found Dr. Suh. Within a few short minutes I knew I had found MY surgeon. A quiet and humble Man, though he is well known and quite renowned in his field.
He put me at ease and answered all of my many questions, patiently.
He agreed to take me on as his patient. He had done 1000's of surgeries and lectures by the time I found him, but I believe I was by far his largest patient at that point.
He remembers his patients, he gives out his personal cell number for emergencies and also has a 24 hr nurse line.
His protocols are quite strict, but that's fine with me. His patients have long-term success rates.
If I had to do it all over again, I would. My only regret is that I didn't find him sooner!
Dr. Suh you are my forever hero!

Great Dr, I had my surgery done Oct 24, 2014, I'm not going to lie the first week was hell, so many emotions, I thought I had prepared myself mentally but I guess not. But no regrets now, I'm down 45 lbs and not sure how many inches! I love my knew life style, I totally recommend it to anyone. If you are ready to change your life and make the commitment to a healthier life then do it!!

Here I am, healthy and alive. I owe it to the wonderful doctor I had, Dr Suh.
Feb 8th 2006 my life changed, I was 225 pounds, I lost 123 pounds. Today I am 118 pounds. Like I said, listen to what he tells you to do and you will be just fine.

If you are out there and you haven't decided which Surgeon to use, I reccomend him! From the begining he has proven that he cares about his patients period.
Attend his seminars and support groups and you will understand why all of us like him. He is warm and caring and has a staff that is the same way, never to busy to answer the phone or a quick question. 100% customer satisfaction, and in this day and time of hurry up, it's about me world we live in, you don't have too much of that.
My husband is very inteligent and he out thinks, out questions and re-evaluates everything, he is very confident with Dr. Suh, he said I am in good qualified hands.
Here are the only two men in my life I trust with every breath, My wonderful husband and Dr. Suh. I am not worried, because my husband is the type of person that if HE didn't it was safe he would stop me in a heartbeat.
One final note until surgery...the stats on the doctors are all out dated, don't judge a doctor by what you read on his profile here. My doc does over 57 a month, very educated and has tough requirements, requiremnts that's going to save your life. Don't get pissy with the doctors, they are there to keep you alive and healthy.
I had my surgery approximately 10 years ago when Dr. Festus Dada was passing the torch on to Dr. Suh. Dr. Dada had a clinic manager that was supposed to buy me a new outfit. If she is still around, I need to collect on that promise, my clothes are too big!!
My main reason for writing this review is that the clinic moved quickly once they received the referral from my primary care Dr's office. I was always cheered on when I did well and given the right amount of empathy, other times. I now live in Waco, Texas, and haven't found anyone as interested in weight loss surgery. For the last seven months (Nov), I've had a lot of problems eating. Most times, after 2 bites in, I don't want anymore to eat and I have bad blood test results. I can provide the blood test results. I've had several EGD's, and keep coming up with Barrett's Esophagus, I know what to do. The other main issue is I cannot take vitamins orally in any form. Five - seven days in, I will have emesis. My bathroom cabinet looks like a drug store!
I don't have any insurance right now, but would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Dr. Suh is very professional and willing to answer any and all questions. His office staff is very nice and helpful on the phone and in person. Aftercare is a huge factor for Dr. Suh - you need to take responsibility for making the changes in your lifestyle to make this a successful journey. He is very encouraging. He has a very structured pre and post surgery program to follow, and if you still aren't sure on any point he is available to answer all your questions. He does his surgeries at Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar,CA. Nice hospital with very caring staff. Dr. Suh will count on you to communicate any discomfort, questions, clarifiations directly to him and his staff. He will assume all is well otherwise. Take ownership of this adventure. He has a very busy practice and will need you to have your questions listed and ready for him if possible. My experience with him has been very positive.

Dr Suh staff are amazing and friendly, Dr Suh is wonderful at what he does, but he is all business so have your questions ready for him and he will answer all of them, I originally had plans to get the VSG but after my last visit w/ Dr Suh (1 week before surgery) I decided the RNY would be the best surgery for me. (I was set on my VSG and after asking millions of questions I change surgeries) I had the RNY on Sept 20,2011. I only experience pain when I first woke up but after First dose of pain med i was fine through out my entire stay, Having 2 offices made it easy to set appointment and Everyone in the office was super nice and and informative (I had lots of questions and sometime forgot to ask when I was in the office and every time I called with my multiply question there was always a friendly voice on the other end, Over All I would recommend anyone to Dr Suh in a heartbeat!

Overall, I am satisfied with my experience. Some of the office staff were extremely helpful through my process. Dr. Suh is definitely all business. You must be prepared with your questions and he is happy to answer them but he's not the type to hold your hand. He seems very knowledgeable and experienced. I think that's more important than bedside manner when it comes to getting cut open. 6 months after my VSG I have lost 115 pounds and I'm very happy. Dr. Suh and his staff pushed for me to have the RNY originally but he did allow me to make my own decision after informing me of the different possible outcomes. He was very open with me about his complication rates etc. which I was kind of surprised about but I really appreciated. I would have liked a more strict and detailed meal plan and for a nutritionist or dietician to be provided at the facility but it wasn't a deal breaker. Let me also add that I paged Dr. Suh on New Year's Eve and 10:30 pm with an emergency and he called back within 10 minutes and even though I could hear that he was busy, he still answered all of my questions and seemed concerned. I wasn't expecting that. Overall, I wish the followup was better with Dr. Suh, but I think he's a great surgeon. It just seems like once you have surgery and your week and month follow up, you're kind of on your own. I'd still recommend him though because my progress is awesome and I think I have a great sleeve and I didn't have any complications.
