I was very impressed by him. He took the time to address all my question and concerns. He has a great personality. No problems after surgery. He nurse Barb is the best!
I had an incredible journey thus far. Dr. Svendsen and Barb Johnson, RN, have been a great part of my story. I felt comfortable with both of them immediately. I felt as if they were sharing details and risks honestly and openly. I am pleased with the follow up care I have been receiving. I believe one of my tools of success has been and will continue to be the support network of the support group at Park Nicollet.
Dr. Chuck was awesome. He is a real friendly guy, very knowledgeable and I trust him with my life. His nurse Barb is a fabulous and caring human being. All aspects of the surgery were explained fully with allot of emphasis on the aftercare.
My first impression of Dr. Svendsen was that he is very easy to talk with, he explained the procedure and was frank with the risks involved. He answered all my questions without being abrupt. After surgery, I am even more impressed by his skill and bedside manner. He checked on me each day and was very open to questions. I had no complications and was out and about moving around very quickly. The aftercare program is very structured and thorough. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Svendsen and his group to others considering WLS.
My first impression of Dr. Svendsen - he seemed like a really nice guy and when the appointment went further along...I LOVED HIM! He is so nice and has a great sense of humor! I felt like I had known him for years! His nurse Barb is so funny and makes you feel so comfortable...plus she doesn't miss a beat! Some people may not agree with her humor but it sure helped me! He stressed how important aftercare is and to go to the appointments is SO IMPORTANT! He went through the risks of surgery, which was scary, but there are risks to everything you do...right? I can also say he answered all my questions and concerns and understood how I felt. He is great pre-op but I will update post-op.
I really liked Dr. Svendson...he was kind and honest and didn't sugar-coat anything but he also didn't try to scare me away. I can't say anything negative about him at all!
Dr Svendson, his nurse Barb, and all the wonderful people at Park Nicollet really are great. Park Nicollet has a very complete program that I really feel gave me the information and support I needed, and my surgery was a breeze. Dr Svendson came in to see me afterwards and reported no problems, textbook surgery, and his PA was great also. I would highly recommend Park Nicollet to anyone considering WLS!
Dr.Svendsen can do surgery on me anytime, any place. He is the most caring man and really feels for you. He wasn't able to do surgery the first time I was scheduled and he really felt for me. He tried everything, even other doctors. He knew how bad I wanted this.
The staff is great-Barb is very knowledgable and has a lot of experience.
There is nothing I did not like about him or the hospital, or the office. They are all great!!!
If you are considering have Dr. Svendsen, go for it. He is extremely skilled and caring. Aftercare is very important to this staff and you really can tell this.
He is a 100, not a 10!!!!
