The Bariatric Program through Park Nicollet is a great program before surgery and aftercare.
I have found everyone involved in PNC Bariatric Program to be helpful, understanding and respectful.
Dr. Svendsen was up front with information and willing to field questions.
The PNC program is very well planned for pre and post op care.
Appeared to be very friendly. I found out that he had performed the surgery on a co worker.
The staff wqas very professional, friendly, and caring.
It's hard to say that much more until after. But I know that I'm ingood hands from what I've heard from my cop worker and from on a local support website.
I can't say enough good things about Dr Svendsen. He was super nice and easy to talk to. My mom came with to my first consult and was put at ease imediatly. He talked to my family after my surgery and even explained things a little more clearly for my dear sweet grandmother. He came and saw me both days I was in the hospital and is just an all around great guy. His assistant Sunny was just as nice and everyone he works with is great. I couldn't ask for a better team to be cared for by. If I had to give me a rating on a scale of 1-10 He would easily be a 10+.
I met with Dr. Svendsen on 5/26 and found him to be very open, friendly (great sense of humor) and extremely knowledgeable. He spoke of the risks involved, but I felt reassured that he knows what he's talking about. The PNMC Bariatric Center has a great before and after care program, and Dr. Svendsen reiterated the importance of the aftercare program. His nurse (Barb)is a stitch and a half and I feel blessed that she knows her stuff (she's been through the surgery also) and shares her first hand experience. I'm very happy with Dr. Svendsen thus far, and am greatful that people I know who have had him are very pleased with their surgery and results thus far.
I was very impressed by Dr. Svendsen, he is very straight forward and makes one feel comfortable. I believe he is the best choice based on my experience and the experiences of everyone I've met who has had him.
The staff are wonderful to work with, Barb is so much fun to be around. The nurses at Methodist are fantastic and treated me with the best care I've ever had. Special thanks to MaryLee, Kate, Liza, and all the others.
My entire experience during this journey has been better than I ever could have expected.
Both my 18 year old daughter and myself had lap ryn surgery performed by Dr. Svendsen. He is terrific! I had more than one nurse in the hospital tell me if they were going to have this type of surgery done, he would be their choice. He listens very well and doesn't rush you. He is straightforward. His nurse Barb J is also fantastic. He is great and so is she!
Dr. Svendsen is absolutely wonderful. I felt comfortable with him from the moment I met him and he installed an instant trust in me. He truly has a passion for his work and enjoys making his patients healthy through WLS.
Dr. Svendsen really listens to concerns and addresses all questions you have. He has a great bedside manner. He even asked me what kind of music I wanted on in the surgery room. Of course I told him whatever he does his best work to.
His Bariatric Nurse, Barb, is one in a million. Her incredible sense of humor and ability to tell you like it is leaves nothing to be desired and is very refreshing for the healthcare industry.
The aftercare program is very good too. They ensure you have all of the information you need, access to a doctor all of the time for any issues, and call you back quickly when you have questions. They do this even though they are extremely busy. Their office has a minimum of three patients waiting every time I'm there.
I would highly recommend Dr. Svendsen and the Park Nicollet team!
