My consultation with Dr Boe was wonderful. He is very patient. He listened to everyone of my concerns and answered them straight forward. The staff at his office was very helpful and kind. It was a very pleasant experience.

Dr Boe is an excellent Doctor. Great bedside manner and takes time to make sure that things are going well and all your questions are answered.
He answered all my questions and concerns and was very honest about everything.
I really would highly reccommend Doctor Boe to anyone considering this surgery.

<p align="left">My first impression of Dr. Boe at my consultation was that he was a very compassionate doctor who cared about the needs of bigger people.

I was very impressed with Dr.Boe at my consultation. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions and did not seem to sugar coat the risks involved in order to get another client. He seems honest,intelligent,and trustworthy. I look forward to having him as my sugeon and May as my patient counselor. My surgery is scheduled for March 5,2003 and I guess I will know more after that time. I feel I must mention 2 other staff from the BTC who were very helpful,friendly, and reassuring to me. Those 2 people were Melissa in pre-cetifications deptartment,and Diane Campbell in scheduling. Melissa was available to help me get some last minute insurance approval info straightened out.In a matter of minutes she got done what would have taken me at least another 3 days on the phone. She then informed me that I was ready to scheduled for sugery,which came as a complete nice surprise since somebody on the phone the day before had said to expect another 2 to 3 weeks for that. She then went out of her way to send an e-mail on to scheduling to let them know I was waiting and ready for a surgery date. Melissa was so helpful and patient and I'm so lucky to have had her help. Diane Campbell was the lady to call and schedule my surgery date. She was promt in calling and so totally reassuring when I expressed my nervousness at actually having a set date. It suddenly seemed real now and Diane reassured me that many people reacted with the same anxiety that I was having and even shared a bit of her surgery experience with me also . So... all in all, between Dr. Boe and all of his helpful staff I'm confident that all will go well and that someone will always be avilable to support me.

Dr. Boe is a very straight forward kind of guy. He doesn't sugarcoat anything about the surgery or what can come in the future. He listens intently and answers all questions honestly. Sometimes the answers aren't what you would expect or even want to hear. But, I would rather have him be honest and know what I am facing than be surprized down the road.

I had my initial consultation with Dr. Boe on December 30, 2002. My wedding anniversary. Strangely appropriate, I thought. I am scheduled to have the open RNY on February 10, 2003. My husband and I were very impressed with Dr. Boe. He looked us in the eyes and listened intently to us, never acting as if he were rushed or needing to be elsewhere. I am an RN and I can tell you that is rare in a doctor, especially a surgeon! Dr. Boe was quite informative and honest about all aspects of the procedure. I had researched it extensively and understood it before we got there. My husband needed reassurance and felt more at ease after our consultation appointment, even beginning to get a little excited about it. I must give Dr. Boe a "10" at this stage, and anticipate no change in the future. I'll keep you all posted!

Dr. Boe was a very pleasant and knowlegdable surgeon. He answered all questions in a helpful manner and was quite a card.

He does have an aftercare program to check on your progress - he emphasizes to patients the importance of having a support group afterward as well.

Dr. Boe was very honest when addressing the risks of surgery...and careful to check all of the previous tests and weight loss channels I'd pursued.

I rate him as excellent - both bedside manner and surgical competence was terrific.

Sorry...but this surgeon as far as I experienced was "best" in all aspects.

I really like Dr. Boe. Very friendly and seems to really care about his patients. His staff was also very good.

I met Dr. Boe at my consultation and I was quickly put at ease by his kind demeanor.He informed me well on the surgery, pros and cons. He was more then willing to answer all questions and told me that at any time if I had any concerns to call him and he would do his best to answer whatever questions I had.He was very direct yet sympathetic to my weight probs, he told me this would not work if I wasn't committed 100% to changing my lifestyle. He explained what I needed to do to make this work. It also helped to read the other reviews on him.I am comfortable with the fact that Dr. Boe will be my surgeon.His staff was very helpful and they treated me well while I was there.I am extremely happy I have GOD and Dr. Boe on my side! :-)
