My first in impression was (this is a caring man)
Till this day, Dr. Vanguri cares about each and every one of his patients. He's the first doctor that I have found that is so caring.
I have to travel across town to see him, but it is worth the trip.
Not only is he a caring doctor, his staff is very friendly and caring also.
Aftercare is very important to Dr. Vanguri. To see a doctor that cares enough to attend the monthly meetings to answer any questions that you may have.
Yes - monthly meeting and will soon be having an exercise program soon.
When you have your meeting at the office, Dr. Vanguri lets you know at that time there are risks to this surgery.
On a scale from 1 - 10 and (1) being the lowest he is a (10)
I wouldn't know - I have both with Dr. Vanguri.

I can say that Dr. Vanguri is a sweet, caring doctor. My first impression is my last impression. He goes the extra mile with everyone.

Dr. V is wonderful. He has such a calming manner that you can't help but feel calm and relaxed (even at my highest anxiety level). Bev, Sue and Delores are equally as wonderful. They never make me feel that I call too often (even though I think that I do). I also enjoy attending their support group meetings. They are very informative and supportive. My father, who does not do hospitals well and wouldn't be eligible for this surgery, said that if he needed it and would do it, he would come from out-of-state to have Dr. V do the surgery. Both my parents were quite impressed and pleased with Dr. V's relaxing manner, his confidence, and his expertise.

He was incredible. He listens to your questions and concerns and spends the time necessary to explain the procedure and answer any questions. His office hosts a support group led by him or his nutritionist. His nutritionist had WLS (by him) in 1999 so she understands the challenges of it. As a patient, you are to see him once a month for a year after surgery as well as offering the support group.

My first impression of Dr V. was that he is a very quiet man,but that he cares very much about his patients. He actually looks you in the eyes when he speaks to you and pats your hand if you are nervous. His staff is absolutely wonderful and very easy to get along with. No question is EVER to small to answer and yes they do return your phone calls. Dr. V's after care program is totally awesome and you can tell that he puts his patients FIRST AND FOREMOST. Iam glad that I waited the 9 months that I did and that he will be the one doing my surgery, I feel very confident and he does have a way of easing your mind. I would rate him and his entire staff on a scale of 1-10 they definately receive a 10 plus. I would absolutely reccomend other patients to him even if you have to wait almost a year, it is worth it!!!!

Dr. Vanguri and his crew are wonderful people. When you first walk into his office you are greeted by Sue, who is always friendly and will help you with anything. All the patients Dr. V has, and she does a damn good job remembering everyone's name.

Dr. V and Bev made me feel very comfortable during the entire pre-op process. I did not feel intimidated, or like I was asking any dumb questions. I really felt like I could ask them anything.

Dr. V was very comforting while I was in the operating room, before going under. He was making jokes with the hospital staff, which is the last memory I have before going off to sleep. When I woke up, he was there at my bedside with my niece and informed me of my surgery, and the complications I had. Finding a cyst on my ovaries the size of a grapefruit, and having to call in an additional doctor. Dr. Magan, is a wonderful doctor, and now is my full-time GYN.

I felt they both have my best interest at heart.

Dr. V makes me feel special every time I see him, which is every 3 months now. As many patients as he has, he makes me feel good about my weight loss, and how my scar is healing.

If I had to mention a negative comment, it would be the size of the waiting room and parking lot. I am sure he has 4 times the patients he had years ago, and has not expanded his space with the amount of patients he has. There is no extra room, which can be a little tight when you are going there for your monthly B12 shot. The nice thing about it, is when you are waiting, it is like being in a support meeting. Everyone chats with each other, and we cheer for those who come from the examination room, and announce their weight loss.

My first impression of Dr. Vanguri is that he is very quite but very caring. He has a wonderful staff that care very much about your needs. He has a very structured after care program and greatly emphasizes on aftercare. If there is any qeustion you have feel free to ask him no matter how stupid you may feel it is. I would give him a overall rating as a perfect ten!

My first, last and only impression of Dr. Vanguri is that he is an excellent and caring surgeon and physician. He has superb surgical skills and a friendly and gentle bedside manner. He has a very structured aftercare program that focuses on your long term health and success. I am very satisfied with the level of care I have received from Dr. Vanguri.

I liked Dr. Vanguri and his entire staff from my very first visit. There were five of us in our initial consultation. Dr. V was very personable and very confident. He had no problems answering any of our questions and explained everything in utmost detail.
Bev, Dr. V's assistant/counseler, was also wonderful. She had been through the surgery a few years earlier and was very helpful and uplifting. Like Dr. V, Bev answered every question we through at her.
Dr. V's receptionist is Sue. Sue is a little crazy (ha-ha). I keep telling her she needs some Valium, because I don't know how she keeps up with all of us...The office is always packed. This is probably the most bothersome part of being one of Dr. V's patients. He has so many patients that there's always a wait time at his office.
Overall, if I had to go through all of this again, I would do it all with these same people. I think they're all just great!

He was very personal and interested in me.
Only had one initial visit. Consultation and exam.
Letter has been sent to insurance company.. awaiting approval.
Office staff was right on the ball.
Dr Vanguri explained in detail the several procedures he could perform. Including the risks, aftercare, etc.
Overall, I'd rate him high.
Both surgical competence and bedsidemanner are of great importance.
