Dr. Vanguri was very nice at the consultation (and after). I was suprised how patient he was answering all my questions and didn't seemed rushed to get to the next patient. The office staff was great... especially helpful answering questions once the approval came in. Surgery is scheduled for 5/25/00 and I will update my experiences after that time.

Well, I just had my one year anniversary visit and I can't say enough about Dr. Vanguri and the staff! I came in for my appointment on the wrong day (my fault) and they were very accomodating when they really didn't have to be.
4/13/01 I had my first appointment with Dr. Vanguri. He explained the surgery to several people at the same time. He answered any questions. He was very pleasant and very patient. He wanted you to know the risks and to think about it carefully. I made my second appt. for June 1st. His nurse had the surgery two years ago. His staff is very nice and I felt very comfortable. As far as aftercare,he did say that he wanted to see me every month for a while.
I was introduce to Dr. Vanguri from a nurse who refer me to this web site. The doctor was a complete stranger. After my first consultation, he made me feel very calm and encouraging. Dr. Vanguri explained every detail of the surgery. In addition he recommended I attend the group session. His staff have been very helpful. I would rate Dr. Vanguir 10 out of 10
I have only met Dr. Vanguri once to date and my wife and I both immediately felt that we had found the right surgeon. My next appointment is September 17th at which time Dr. Vanguri is going to explain how my Sleep Apnea may or may not effect my procedure. My final appointment before the big day is Setpember 26th, at this time any remaining questions will be answered. Dr. Vanguri is very caring surgeon who has much knowledge with this type of surgery.
March 15,2001 - I love this guy, his caring and compassion are beyound belief. He fully understands my sickness and is going to perform my Gastric Bypass takedown so that my health can return to normal and I can finally stop throwing up all the time.
Dr. Vanguri and his office have been very helpful in all aspects of preparing for this surgery. The girls in the office are always quick to call back, and help where they can.
He's very clear on the procedure and risks, and has answers to all questions. He promises wonderful results but stresses for aftercare that you must follow his instructions for the best result and health possible. He's very friendly, and easy to talk to, for once i was not embarassed about my weight.
My first impreeion if DR.V was very great because I did not get not one negitive comment from any one about his person ,his staff . I have had a lot of doctor's in my life but i can honestly say ,I have never had any so well organized w/hands on or one on one support for his patients.
My impression of DR.V and staff have only ever changed for better ,i have grown to admire the complete Support and Concern of him and the staff.I can not think of any other words to say but WONDERFUL,and mean it in every way.
I liked Dr Vanguri he was very nice explain things very well. I still feel that way about him he is a very nice Doctor and I would recomand him.The Office staff is very helpful they have 1800 numbers pager number if we need help. There was nothing i didnt like about him he was good and he was ready to fight for me if the ins. turned me down . He cares very much about his patitents they have many support groups. He tells you all risk about the surgery. I think he is very good.He has very good surgical competence and bedside manners.
