1st impression is very good; easy to talk to and willing to talk and provide info. Knowledgeable.

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Vanguri. He is a true professional, dedicated to the well-being of all of his patients. After researching him and his background, I can honestly say that I see why he is so well respected. I would highly recommend him to anyone pursuing weight loss surgery.

My first impression with Dr. Vanguri was that he is very knowledgeable in his practice. He is soft spoken and can remove the fear away in an instant. He was very patient explaining the details of the surgery to us and he answered every question during our session. He explained the risks in detail and I think he is an execellent physician. His office personnel could use a little more training in customer service. I hate calling the office sometimes because this particular person speaks harshly.

I felt very comfortable with Dr Vanguri. He answered all the questions posed by myself and two other patients very competently and I believe that we all felt very comfortable with him. He showed so much patience even when he repeated himself a few times. The assistants on his staff are so sweet, everytime I called with questions and/or insurance problems they were so very helpful. They faxed the information to my insurance company several times because they claimed that thay had never received the information for processing. Also, Dr Vanguri made it perfectly clear that aftercare is extremely important in order to get the best possible results from the surgery.

Dr. Vanguri was absolutely wonderful. He is always available and willing to answer any question, no matter how silly you think it may be. His assistant has been through the procedure, so her help is certainly given with real knowledge.

I would recommend and have recommended Dr. Vanguari to anyone who is considering WLS.

8/25 I had my initial with Dr. Vanguri this week. It didn't start off very well, I never received the packet of paperwork from the office. At first they told me I would have to reschedule the appointment because he couldn't see me without the paperwork. After a little persistance they agreed to let me fill out as much I could and see the Doctor. The office was very crowded and there was a long wait - for once I didn't mind waiting it gave me more time to fill out the mound of papers. The other patients spoke very highly of Dr. Vanguri and the change this surgery has made in their lives. I met very briefly with the Dr., he skimmed the paperwork, asked me about why I wanted this surgery and if I had any questions. I then went back to the waiting room as he met with some other new patients. Then he had the group of us come into his office and he explained the surgery, the risks, and what you could expect afterwards. There was then a question and answer period. Afterwards, I made an appointment for a physical - October 2, another long wait.

DR V. IS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR, I GOT LOST IN BALTIMORE AND WAS ALMOST AND HOUR LATE BUT HE STILL MADE SOME TIME FOR ME AND THAT TELLS ME A LOT. HE SEEMS TO CARE A LOT ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. PLEASE MAKE PLENTY OF TIME IF YOU GET LOST ESPECIALLY IF YOUR NOT USE TO BALITMORE. OVERALL I RATE DR. V A 10

HE IS VERY BUSY WHICH I CAN UNDERSTAND THIS IS HIS PRIMARY SURGERY THAT HE DOES. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR ME IS THAT HE KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING AND THAT HE HAS DONE IF FOR MANY YEARS.

Dr. Vanguri seems very nice. He's a quiet man. I hear many nice things about him but since I haven't had the surgery and I've only seen him twice, I guess my opinion is limited. I haven't had enough contact with him, but what I do know, he seems to be a good guy and competent surgeon.

His staff is great. I have called Beverly since going through all this appeal/denial nonsense and she has always treated me wonderfully. She sympathizes and gives me advice. I wish she could clone herself so every office has a Beverly.

Dr. Vanguri is a lucky man to have Beverly by his side, helping and reassuring his patients. He also has a wonderful support group that meets once a month.

I felt that Dr. V was very knowledgable. I didn't feel extremely comfortable right away because he is so quiet. His staff was very efficient. I think at first they (staff and Dr.) come off short, but that is because they are so busy. I have found that as I get closer to my surgery date they spend more time with me, and that is more important to me than the prelimenary stuff. At first it was discouraging, but I am happy with the treatment I have recieved lately.

After three long months of waiting to have my first appointment, I finally met with Dr. Vanguri on August 1, 2001. I was a little scared to even go to the office at first, but after I arrived I was amazed at how many other patients were there and sharing the same feelings I was having. Dr. Vanguri was wonderful. He took his time explaining the surgery and answering everyone's questions. After the group consultation, he took us in individually on a more personal basis. I felt very much relaxed with him. I go back for my second interview and physical on September 25. I look forward to going!
