Dr. Aguirre's office has been so wonderful. Rosella has answered all of my questions and been so encouraging. I will update more at a later time.

I would just like to say "Thank You" to Dr Aguirre and Rosella and Bambi and everyone else who was involved with my surgery. I personally feel that the care that I received in Mexico was probably better then care that I would have received in the United States. Also Ensenada was a very nice place to recover as there really seems to be no concept of time down there thus making it very relaxing. The complications that can happen with this surgery are a scary thought, but adding to the fact that you are going out of the country makes it worse, anyone thinking about having surgery with Dr Aguirre, please read about all of our experiences and developed that trust that I did prior to my surgery. When I met Dr Aguirre the night before my surgery he answered any questions that I had, I was already at peace and I think he could sense that.
Dr Aguirre I can not wait to see everyone at the Reunion in San Antonio

My first impression of Dr. Aguirre was very good. He is a quiet, soft spoken man. He cares very much for his patients and takes the best care of them. He is thourough in explaining the type of surgery he is going to perform on you and why he does the procedure the way that he does. His staff is excellent. Even though there may be a language barrier, as many of them speak little to no English, there was never any problem communicating with them. I have never felt more pleased with a doctor and his staff!!

I found Dr. Aquirre through the internet, NOT this web site. I was impressed by his training and reputable practice. I had already decided to have him operate on me when I found out there was a "south of the border" section to the WLS web site. All the comments from other patience only cemented my choice of Dr. "A". When I met him I was so impressed with his kindness, honesty and what seemed like a general care for his patience. I'm envious of the patience who got to have him early on...as they got to go to dinner with him and spend some time with him. I would have loved to get to know him better. He's so busy now, but I know his time is well spent with those in the world who need his care.
THANKS DR. AGUIRRE!!!!!

In my opinion, Dr. Aguirre was a superb surgeon. I had learned a lot of valuable information about Dr. Aguirre by reading his patients profiles, but after meeting him in person, I was convinced this was the way for me to go. He did a great job. His staff was wonderful and I always felt safe. But most important, his knowledge of this surgery and his skill in performing it make him a perfect surgeon. He has changed my life. The only negative thing I have to say is that the after-care is literally non-existent. If I didn't have the Obesity Help website, I would be lost.

I had my surgery Feb. 01.05 with the staff of Dr. Aguirre.. I can say that I was very impressed with them.. Please note that you are going into mexico for surgery and you might be surprised at the size of the hospital.. It is very small and you might compare it to an out-patient clinic in the US. But they have a wonderful staff that treats you VERY WELL.. The hospital is very clean. The quality of care is as good and better than I have ever had.. Would go there again in a heart beat..Do feel that they need to look at the nurse staff in the evening..Sometimes they were hard to locate and even sleeping.. Hummm

I did not meet Dr. Aguirre until the evening before surgery. I had only corresponded through his daughter/assistant Rosella. Dr. Aguirre was waiting on me when I arrived at his office. He was so kind and nice. He explained everything to me (even though I didn't want details)---he made the discussion so interesting, I had to listen!!! and ask questions!! I didn't see him again till after surgery---apparently he did everything right. I haven't had any problems. Dr. Aguirre came to see me a couple of times after surgery. Dr. Estrella and Dr. Vega came to see me about three times a day on the surgery day and the day after surgery. This "TEAM" is great in my opinion. I would not hesitate to recommend anyone to them!

I have not had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Aguirre yet, but I have research his site and several others. I feel very confident on his surgical skills. Rosella his assistant/daughter is the BEST, we have emailed several times she has always been quick to respond to any of my questions or concerns. Rosella has scheduled everything for me (transportation, apartment w/nursing svc for 3 days, hospital, etc etc), all I've had to do was make flight arrangements and give then to her; What a lady!!!!
