Haven't met yet e-mailed 11-8-05 for surgery date. I have read tons of wonderful reviews and I look foward to going to Mexico.

I have been in contact with him since April, 2003. I have a surgery date of June 12, 2003.
I had my surgery, did not see him as much as others had posted. The surgery went very well. The staff was not very good my first night in the hospital, the second night was so much better!! I think he is a fine surgeon. I would recommend this. I am so very happy I did it!

I haven't met or spoken with Dr. Aguirre yet, but his daughter, Rosella, is very quick at responding to your emails, which for us nervous bariatric patients, is very helpful with stress relief!! I am planning to have my surgery on or about JAnuary 12th, 2006.

My first impression of Dr.Aguirre was a very good one. He took great pains to educate me about the surgery and was very helpful. I was very happy with him and felt I was in very good hands. The staff was absolutely fabulous! I loved his daughter Rosella. The hospital and office was very very clean and I had NO worries about germs. Dr. Aguirre came in and checked on me a couple times a day as well as Rosella. The nurses were very prompt when we needed ANYTHING. I would recommend Dr. Aguirre to my most beloved family members. Dr. Aguirre truley loves helping people and he has a heart of gold.

My consultation with Dr. A is on May 21 so I have not met Dr. A yet but when I get back I will update you...
I have been emailing Rosella a lot and she is prompt to answer all of my questions with in 24 hours, she has been kind and courteous in all of her emails.
COPIED FROM 5/21 IN MY PROFILE -
Today I visited Dr. A for my consultation and to check out the hospital. I am pretty familiar with Ensenada because we live in Southern California about a 2 hour drive so we can cross the border very easily and enjoy the Coast of Baja so we like to visit pretty often. Once we got to Ensenada it was difficult to find DR. A’s office because I guess they do not believe in street signs because there are not many….we had to figure out that the street numbers are on the sides of the buildings, we went up and down the street about 8 times and I just happened to see a small sign behind a bush with his name on it, luckily we left early just in case I could not find it and did not want to be late. We went in and there was a receptionist that did not speak English but she did understand 12:30 appointment, we were there at 12:00 so we sat and waited, I was extremely nervous so it felt like hours. Once the Dr. arrived he was very kind and seemed very happy to meet me…Rosella, arrived 10 minutes later OH MY GOSH! She was so happy, cheerful; bubbly…it seems she is just so excited to see you that she is going to jump out of her skin any second. WHAT A WONDERFUL PERSON!!!! She is so happy and excited, it is very had to describe her…you have to meet her!

Dr. A sat down at his desk as we sat with him. He described the different ways that the surgery can be done and why he does it the way he does it, he literally drew it all out on paper for me. I felt more comfortable with the way he does it because it is reinforced…stomach organ once separated is stapled and stitched rather then just stapled like some other doctors do it. He explained how pre-op and surgery day will go and Rosella then took us on a tour of the hospital. When we got to the hospital I was a little startled by it being so small, when we walked though the whole hospital and she explained that they only do certain types of operation here, which explained why it was so small, I felt much better about it. The hospital was painted all white inside and was very clean and organized….when the tour was over I had no complaints, I was very happy with it.

Dr. Aguirre, My first impression is a very good one, he is nice, and a Sincere man. He knows and describes what to expect thoughly. He gives you written instructions, on what to do. His office staff was excellant , his assistants in surgery was really good, they came by and checked on me, asked if i had questions, and explained what to do and expect, etc. and the anestigiosgist too. Rosella was excellant. Just expect to see him Dr. A. the day for the consult, and the days in the hospital. all in all I was completely satisfied with the Dr. and his staff.

he is very soft spoken. He tells you everything you want to know, sometimes repeating himself. His Daughter Rosella is very sweet and i could not discribe how sweet she is.
he does not seem to think there is much risk with his surguries, but if there is a problem he is there and willing to help.
My brother had the surgury in the states thru blue shield and his surgeon knows dr agurrie personally and just raves about how great he is.
I think both are important. Dr.s need to know what they are doing, and for them to come and see you and check up on you continually thruought your time with them is a very positive thing, it shows they care!

I have had numerous e-mail contacts with Rosella and she has been nothing but kind and answered any question that I had! Such a refreshing change from the attitudes of some of the medical people in the US!
