Dr. Nusbaum was a young doctor. His son is only a year younger than mines. His office staff was very pleasant to me. He told me everything about the surgery whether it was positive or negative. He made me feel very comfortable when I was speaking with him. I am very excited about my surgery. Even after I have the surgery, there were still other things that I needed to know that he told me about. Between 1 and 10. I would rate Dr. Nusbaum an 11.

De Nausbaum is excellent - he is the best - I am very please with my resutls - most importantly, I had no complications.

Dr. Nusbaum was my first choice when I decided to switch surgeons because my original was really too far from my home. I never regretted my decision to switch for a moment. From the beginning and throughout my care, he has been caring and professional. He has this surgery so perfected that I was amazed at the low level pain afterward. My recovery was truly amazing and if I had to go back to work after one week I probably could have.
His office staff is great and always makes you feel like you can take as much time as you need... never rushed.
If you are looking into a surgeon in NJ or Rockland County, NY which is where i am from, Dr Nusbaum is the only obvious choice. I would so highly recommend him and thank him for the gift he has given me.

Dr. Nusbaum was AMAZING!!!! I left that office after my initial consultation on 04/28/04 with a smile from NJ to CA...Every experience I have had with Dr. Nusbaum and his staff has been the greatest since day one and if at all imaginable gets better every time. The staff was very helpful and went out of there way to get me scheduled as soon as possible. There is nothing that I didn't like about Dr. Nusbaum and that alone should say alot. Actually Im lying I didnt like when he told me that he wanted me to be at a higher goal weight then I wanted to be at!! HA!HA! Dr. Nusbaum will answer all of your questions no matter when it is and truly knows what he is doing. He won't put you or himself at risk to perform a surgery if it wasn't truly necessary. On a scale of 1-10 I rate Dr. Nusbaum as an 11!!! He has a great bedside manner as well as surgical competence...He is just an all around great Doctor. My family shares in my feelings about him, because no one knew my surgeon until the day I had surgery and he came out to speak to my family and gave them such reassurance and explained in detail to them what he did and how things went and what to expect from me within the weeks following my surgery. He even provided them with pictures of my stomach before and after.

8/4/04 - Wow what a wonderful physician. Dr. Nusbaum and his staff made me feel comfortable immediately. He explained, in detail, all I needed to know about the surgery. I'm a registered nurse but he did not assume that I already knew the information and explained everything to me as if I had no nursing/medical background. This mattered to me because I don't want anything taken for granted. This is major surgery and I want to make sure that I have correct information on all aspects of the surgery. He self-describes himself as Obsessive/Compulsive and went into great detail on how the surgery is performed and the tests he does prior to you leaving the OR to make sure there are no complications. He does a leak test right in the OR instead of the following day so if there are any leaks they are addressed immediately at that time. This eliminates the possible need of a second trip to the OR. His surgical competence is definitely the most important to me but I feel I've really gotten a bonus because his bedside manner was absolutely great as well.

My first impression of Dr. Nusbaum was wow, he's young! After speaking with him, I felt totally confident in him and knew that I was in good hands. His office is nice and the staff is very helpful. There wasn't anything that I didn't like about Dr. Nusbaum. He's very caring and responsive to his patients' needs. I wouldn't go to any other surgeon if I had to do it all over again, I give Dr. Nusbaum thumbs up and 4 stars!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Nusbaum is a wonderful knowledgable doctor who put me at ease. I truly think he is stupendous. His office staff especially Wanda has been marvelous. He explained everything to me/ My opinion of Dr. Nusbaum so far has been that he is the greatest.

Although I've just met with Dr. Nusbaum, I must say that he made me and my husband feel very comfortable with his knowledge, skill and personality (a MUST for me!). His office staff thus far has been very accomodating and friendly (another MUST for me!).
