Shannon Fitzgerald Professional RD

Shannon Fitzgerald, Registered Dietitian Shannon Fitzgerald, RD is has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and is a registered dietitian. She completed the Sodexho New York Metropolitan Area Dietetic Internship program, where she was awarded the Theresa M. Carney Memorial Scholarship for exhibiting caring and compassion towards her patients and peers. Shannon is currently employed full time as a clinical dietitian at Morristown Memorial Hospital, where she provides medical nutrition therapy for the Bariatric Service. She covers the bariatric unit, where she works closely with physicians, nurses, and therapists to provide patients with the information and training they need for a safe recovery. Shannon also provides education for non-surgical weight loss and a variety of other nutrition-related issues. Shannon combines the knowledge that she has gained working in both the inpatient and outpatient setting, to provide bariatric patients with the knowledge, support and resources that they need to improve their health and quality of life.
