Dr. Anez is very thorough. He answers all my questions and some that I forget to ask. His staff is professional and good.I would go thru it all again with him.
Dr Anez is a highly competent, personable surgeon. He was very professional and impressed me with his confidence.
The office staff are some of the nicest and helpful persons I have ever met.
Dr. Anez has a very structured pre and post care program with the nurses on staff and a very nice and informative nutritionist on staff.
Dr. Anez adequately addressed the risks associated with this surgery.
Both surgical competence and bedside manner are very important to me. Overall, I feel Dr. Anez is an excellent surgeon. He is very straight and to the point, and I would recommend him without hesitation to others. As I presume that he is of Hispanic origin, I came to accept his matter of fact manner and tone as respective to his culture. He gave you all of the information you needed and it was somewhat of an overload and a lot of information to digest. However, he did give you the information in writing and answered all of the questions I had. Also, I received the impression that perhaps he was a little bit pompous, but he tempered this attitude with a great sense of humor.
WELL , Let me tell you about my surgeon Dr.Anez, I think he is the most wonderful person i have ever met. There is a kindness in his eyes that tells you he is genuine he was very upfront with me. Never rushed me took time to sit down and talk to me. We met in his office and spoke like people, not Doctor-to-patient, i appreciate that. I work in an environment that allows me access to OR nurses and Hospital Administrators at Fair Oaks all of whom have sung the praises of Dr. Anez. I have been told by many people from many diffrent place that i am in good hands. I was also told he is very respect by his peers and to me that says alot. So on top of being one of the most kind people i have ever met he is also a true professional. I feel that i have THE BEST surgeon in the business.
As for his Staff, *applause* , they are beyond wonderful. They care truely. Gabi you know you are the best. Lisa i only met you once but thanks for making me feel comfortable. I cannot say thank you enough for all that you guys have done for me.
P.S. And all this even before surgrey lord only knows how much i will love ya'll after i am on the down side.
I have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Anez. He tells it like it is, he explains things in terms a normal person can understand, and he cares!
My first impression of Dr. Anez was awesome, he seemed very experienced and eager to answer all of my questions. I brought my daughter with me so that she could help be my ears but he wanted to make sure that I knew exactly what was being done to my body. I definitely appreciate that. Dr. Anez was exactly what I had anticipated and more. He is highly experienced and although being friendly is not on the top of my list of priorities he was very kind and understanding. He emphasized the importance of taking vitamins for the rest of my life. He also informed me of all risks including death. Surgical competence is much more important to me then bedside manner. I would like to have a surgeon with both and thus far I know my surgeon has the competence.
My impression about Dr. Anez is that he is a very professional surgeon. He explained all the pros and cons of the surgery at the very first meeting. He has lot of knowledge about the surgery and was able to answer all my questions. He was very serious, not too friedly, during the first meeting but in further meetings he was more friendly and talkative. His staff is very friendly, respectful and able to answer any questions you may have. Dr. Anez emphasized aftercare in every meeting I have had with him. I don't know is his bedside manners because I have not been there yet but I will rate him 10 in providing you with pertinent information about the surgery, providing you with written information about the surgery and emphasizing in the after care program. I have no regrets and I feel 100% comfortable having him as my surgeon.
Dr. Anez is a no nonsense kind of Doctor. He quickly reviews your file and then goes right into the proceedure and risk. He will answer any questions you have so be ready to ask. Had I not done research on him I probably would have tried another doctor.
His staff is great! They are all very personable and helpful.
Bedside manners are great but they are not needed in the operating room, talent and experience are.
My impression of Dr.Anez was very pleasant.
He was very informative and did not rush me in any manner. Truth be told I have been looking into this for 4 years so I really didnt have to many questions.(I will have those questions dor the dietician) I am looking for a Surgeon who's the best.Thats more important to me then hand holding. Its true,his office waiting room is packed.His office staff is very efficient and professional.
My very first impression (after reading other's opinions on here) was the same. He SEEMS uptight, and not very friendly. But I guess this is his professional manner.
Through the consultation he became more friendly and even laughed a few times.
The office staff was great, friendly, and caring. Caroline was a big help and just really sweet.
When I first met Dr. Anez, he did not introduce himself, or smile, or ask what my name was, or say "hello, how are you?", nothing. He just opened a book and started talking about the procedure.
Others should know that yes, he is kind of cold, and unfriendly at first. But after talking to him for a while, he warmed up a bit.
He told me his aftercare program was very important to my health. And I will be seeing him every year for the rest of my life.
He told me of his patient's complications, and death rate, and answered my questions about the surgery risks. He was informative, and very professional about it.
