My first impression after calling was "this dr must be good because its taking me a while to get an appointment".

The office staff is friendly especially since I called everyday to try to push my consult date up, and then on my consult date i got very lost and was thirty minutes late!!

Dr. Anez is a nice man who feels you in about everything without babying it or sugr coating it. He puts a alot of stress on after care which i thought was rigid but necessary. He addressed all the risks and benefits of the surgery although i had already researced it on the internet.

He is very quite but extremely nice. I saw him one time before the surgery and he agreed that I was a candidate for the surgery. I would have liked to see him a couple of times before the surgery but he did have me going to nutritional classes so I don't know what we would have talked about if I had saw him. He has been in this field for a while and it shows, they are very careful and make sure that your questions are addressed and are healthy enough to make it through the surgery. He made me feel very comfortable when I was going in for the surgery and when he came to the hospital to check on me he was very kind. I had to have him check my stomach afterwards which turned out to be pulled muscles but he was very gentle. The staff has been fantastic, I have had no problems with them at all and they have been very supportive. Aftercare is very big in this office, they have nutritional classes and for 3 months your follow up visits are covered with needing a referral, and are encouraged to come in for care during this time as much as needed. I would rate Dr Anez and his staff a 10.

My first impression of Dr. Anez was that he was cordial but he must give the consultation speech day in and day out and in his sleep. But he answered my questions thoroughly and made me feel VERY comfortable about the surgery. Over time I have enjoyed having him as my doctor because every time I see him I feel good about my success. His staff is nice. I've had some problems but they were minor and I think it is because they've been training someone new. The aftercare is good. I do wish the two dieticians were more in sync with each other. My friend and I had surgery together but she has Dr. Halmi, so we have different dieticians. It gets frustrating that one says yes to something and the other says no.

He is a very kind, loving and very patient man. His skills as a person are comforting and his skills as a doctor are superior.

My confidence in the process increased because of him and his staff. His physician's assistant, Maria, is wonderful.

Both were great. He came to see me every day. I was in ICU for 4 days because I had a fever of 102 degrees. He took such good care of me.

Met Dr. Anez and his staff for the first time February 4, and was pleased with my visit. I actually came across his name on this site before Kaiser mentioned that he was the surgeon they used in the area. Because I had done extensive research I didn't mind the short consult. I would definately prefer surgical competence over bedside manner. So far, so good and am happy with my decision.

I put my impression of my surgeon on here before something happened to all of my post, but will do so again , as I got a request to update re: my surgeon. I have always and still do think Dr. Anez was a WONDERFUL, caring surgeon. He is very compassionate re: his patients and he leaves no holds barred. He gives you the goods and the bads about this surgery. He performed surgery on my breast about 6 years ago when he was performing general surgery, and there was little or no pain from the surgery, very light marks and the same for the gastric bypass.....little pain. He is an excellent surgeon in my book and I would reccomend him to anyone.

Dr. Anez appeared very competent and thorough. He explained the procedure fully and was patient as he answered my questions. I felt a "quiet calm" as he and I conversed about the procedure. His office staff were all kind and courteous as I made my way on crutches into the office. Again, they answered all questions that I had without seeming putout. Dr. Anez emphasizes aftercare and I was immediately informed of the support group aptly named the Staple Club. I took great comfort in knowing that I would "be a patient of his for life." I was comforted in knowing that he would not do the surgery and I would never see him again. Dr. Anez explained the risks of surgery and we discussed my concerns about the risks. I feel very confident in his surgical competence.

03-23-03 I am pleased with Dr. Anez and his staff. I was up and walking in no time at all after the surgery. I felt little pain and I attribute that directly to the fine skills that my surgeon possesses.

I met Dr. Anez for the first time March 6th. My first impression was that he appears to be very compassionate and knowledgeable. I explain everything to me in detail and I am at peace with his ability for a successful surgery. His staff seems caring as well be I sense that they are quite busy and not much time for small talk. I had my second pre-op with Marie who was just as detailed as Dr. Anez. They make a good team.

When i first meet Dr. Anez he was very nice and informative, lays everything out there. They provide you with documentations to take home and read over. He is a very down to earth. He seems like the type of person everyone can get alone with. His staff is very nice as well. I really like Maria, the physician assitanct. She is there when ever you have questions or concerns. Maria is the one that does my check ups and is very well educated this it area.

Anyone would feel comfortable going to this office.

I haven't actually met Dr. Anez as yet. At my first appointment I met with Maria, his PA. She was wonderful. The doctor was in surgery. She went over everything about the surgery and I have given information to get insurance approval. I should hear something within 2 weeks. The staff was wonderful and the furniture in his office was awesume. Nice to be able to sit down comfortably.
