Grand Health Partners Bariatric Center
Young, normal down to earth, nice, funny. knowledgeable. Office staff overworked, busy, but typical. Doctor was very understanding in my concerns took the time to explain any questions I had. Since I haven't had surgery yet, (11-19-03) I hope he is as good as hia bedside manner.
I can not say enough about Dr. Foote and the staff at MMPC. They are all kind, CARING and extremely knowledgable. I took alot of time to research gastric bypass and I was so glad to pursue this with them. Overtime, my impressions increased - they were at 110% at my first encounter...and increased to 150% at the time of discharge. I feel as though each staff member treats me as their only patient, when I KNOW there are 14,999 more. I would not say that I dislike a thing about their staff/procedures. They are trained and developed to help people. Aftercare programs are excellent - there are handouts to come home with that explain everything, in layman's terms - 24 hour access to MMPC. I called last night at 9pm and someone called me back five minutes later. Risks were explained fully - statistics compared nationally and directly to MMPC - good concept. Extremely pleased with the entire program....need anymore testimonials? I'm your girl....
Dr Foote is a concerned and caring surgeon.
My first impression of him was that he was so young and I was concerned about his level of expertise. However, he was recommended to me from a friend who is also a doctor so I trusted that he was capable.
Dr Foote has an excellent staff who all seem to take a genuine interest in all of their patients. They occasionally have scheduling issues, but all in all, they do an excellent job.
Dr. Foote does an excellent job of pre-screening and thoroughly explains the procedure, risks and costs. He is compassionate and made me feel comfortable and well informed.
He is an excellent surgeon with a great bedside manner. I highly recommend him to anyone contemplating bariatric surgery.
Dr. Foote was informative and helpful throughout my surgery. I would not hesitate to have him do it again even though I had a few problems after surgery. Bedside manner is not as important to me as competence. What I liked about Dr. Foote is if he has a problem he doesn't hesitate to ask his associate Dr. Baker for assistance. It takes a good person who is willing to listen to your peers and act on them. I have worked with many Doctors in the past and many would rather eat dirt then listen to advice from others. Or they have that God attitude, thank goodness Dr. Foote is not like that.
MMPC has a structured aftercare and follow you very closely. That is what I like about MMPC is they don't just do the surgery and let you fend for yourself after surgery. I have recommended MMPC to several of my friends since surgery and will continue to toot their horn.
My first impression of Dr. Foote was he was a man that knows what he is doing, he got right to business with me, telling me what was going to happen, what needed to be done yet and answered any questions that I may have had. The office staff at MMPC is and has always been very friendly and outgoing, they are truly the back bone behind this business, with all the schulding they have to finagal. ITs amazing.....
Dr. Foote is great! He is very thorough about explaining the surgery. He is always willing to answer any questions that you may have. I was nervous about this surgery, but since meeting Dr. Foote, I do feel better. So far all of his staff members that I have talked to have been very helpful and just wonderful friendly people! I am very glad that I picked MMPC!
Dr. Baker is one of the founders of the clinic called MMPC Center for Health Excellence. He does primarily laproscopic surgery unless there are reasons not to. Surgeons come from all over to learn from him. His surgeries are just as short as open ones as he has perfected this operation. He is a great guy who takes his time with you to make sure you understand everything. His staff is very good, and scheduling is pretty good, too. He has a therapist and dieticians on staff that you see on a regular basis. It took about 4 months from the initial consultation until surgery. Dr. Baker requires a two week liquid fast before surgery. I believe this especially helped me because when I was finally able to eat - a month later, I was pretty much over my eating issues, and I didn't suffer depression or withdrawel - even though my initial fast was over Christmas and New Years! Dr. Baker is the best, but he also has other doctors that work with him that are very good as well.
I LIKED DR.FOOTE THE FIRST TIME I SEEN HIM, HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING SO I COULD UNDERSTAND IT BUT DID NOT TREAT YOU LIKE YOU WERE DUMB. SO FAR THE OFFICE STAFF HAS BEEN GREAT.
I changed surgeons, to Dr. Foote for BTC isn't taking BCBS anymore.
