Grand Health Partners Bariatric Center
08-28-01 My first impression of Dr. Baker was very good. He was warm and caring but very professional and seemed confident in what he needed to do. He answered all my questions plus he asked some of his own. He did not appear to be in a hurry but willing to sit down and talk. Personally I have had no trouble with the office staff. I have even attended one of the bariatric support group meetings (the only preop there) and I was so encouraged by the behaviorist and the other post-ops. What an encouragement they were to each other. The aftercare at that office is extensive and followed closely. The hospital just gave him more block time to do surgeries so he felt confident he could get me in within the next couple of weeks since my approval process was done. So far I would highly recommend him at this stage. Even while waiting in the waiting room, all those there to see him just loved him and had no complaints. feel free to email me anytime at [email protected]
I was very impressed with Dr. Baker. He is a kind, very knowlegable and warm doctor. My worries were almost immediately squelched. He was very matter-of-fact about the whole procedure as well as quite patient with the many questions I asked. I look forward to seeing him again soon in the operation room.
Dr. Baker has a heart of gold and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!!!!!!!
very caring person who really cares
no it did not change
the office staff was slow to return my inital call inquiring about the surgury
the thing i liked least was the slow inital responce to my phone calls
i would want people to know that dr baker is a dr who sees you as a whole person not just a number
he emphasises after care, with support groups
strongly recommended, but not required
he talks about the risks at every visit
i would rate him a 8 out of 10
i feel that dr baker is wonderful in both bedside manners and competence
He is a wonderful Dr., he seemed very concerned when I met with him. I am however concerned about the office staff. They are not real good about returning phone calls or sitting up neccessary appointments. I feel as though I have had to do all the leg work. A lot of this may be the growing pains they are going through, so I try to keep open minded about it.
If anyone has any information regarding my Dr. I would love to hear from you. My OBGYN and Internist speak highly of him, so this gives me great comfort.
The above is personal impressions of my own personal experience and I am not making any statement about what other people's experiences might be.
Dr. Randall Baker has so far been a wonderful asset to my life. He is the head of the trauma/critical care unit for Spectrum Health Hospital
in Grand Rapids Michigan. He is VERY intelligent and you can tell that he knows exactly what he is doing. I have not as of yet had my surgery
but I have no problem putting my life in his hands. His staff has also been very helpful. I will update more after I have surgery. These course
are my own personal opinions. Everyone is different.
