Dr. Anthone is very professional and believes strongly that insurance should pay for WLS. His office staff is supportive and his nurse has herself had WLS.

Dr. Anthone and his staff are fabulous. This whole thing is kind-of scary - I guess any major surgery would be. He and his staff are so down to earth and really helped me feel comfortable. Christy at the front desk is great with answering questions. Denise (the newer of his two nursing staff) has actually had the surgery herself. She was so wonderful at making me feel comfortable and confident about the decision I was making.

Dr. Anthone is very straightforward and willing to answer all questions. We (he, Denise and I) talked about family and Omaha and schools and everything else. He is glad to be back home in Nebraska and we are lucky to have him.

I visited my PCP and she reinterated what I already knew - Omaha is very lucky to have Dr. Anthone!!!! He is a leader in the field and well respected throughout the country.

Even if the whole thing is a bit scary - I am absolutely confident that I have selected the very best surgeon and staff to handle my surgery and ongoing care.

Met with Dr. Anthone and was very impressed with him and his office staff. He was very caring and sensative to the needs of his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of wls, his speciality is the BPD/DS with having performed over 1000 of them, but he is open to other procedures as well. He addressed all my concerns about both the surgery and what to expect afterwards. I would rate him a 100 on a scale of 1-10.

Today I met Dr. Stephen Torpy of Alegent Health(Immanuel Hospital). My first impression was he was very friendly. I really felt very comfortable with Dr. Torpy he was very open and honest with me about the surgery. He answered all my questions. He was very informative and described every thing a simple terms not doctors. His office staff was very kind and helpful.

1/7 I decided to go with Dr. Gary Anthone whom is know at Methodist Hospital he is very informative. He is a very nice man I felt really comfortable with him and Julie is truly wonderful.

When I first heard that Dr. Anthone was moving his practice to Omaha, I immediately checked out his patient forums for California to see what his patients had to say about him. Thank you ObesityHelp.com for this service, and thanks to all of the California patients that wrote all of the positive things about Dr. Anthone. My first impression of him (at the seminar) was that he was very knowledgeable and very through. At the consult, I was even more impressed by the genuineness in caring that he exhibits for obese people. The excellant referrals from his California patients gave me great expectations, and I was not disappointed. I feel as though we do have the best surgeon and I feel very comfortable with him doing surgery on my daughter and myself. His office staff are very friendly and helpful. Kristi, his receptionist, makes you feel right at home, and Julie, his nurse, actually returns your calls in a timely manner. Dr. Anthone is very firm about after-care. You must commit to follow-ups 3weeks post-op, 6 weeks post-op, 3months post-op, 6months post-op, 1 year post-op, and yearly after that, as well as commit to taking your supplements daily. In both the seminar and the consult, Dr Anthone makes sure you understand all of the possible risks of the surgery. In a score of 1-10, I'd have to rate him 100!!!
