I have chosen Dr Anthone, because I heard about this surgery by checking USC net site for bypass surgery. I am in the process of changing my insurance inorder to be cover this will all be done in Nov.
I will then schedule my appointment as soon as possible with Dr. Anthone . I have heard nothing but great things about him.
I can rest assured that he will provide all the information, help and assistance I need to ease any fears that I might have due to all the wonderful things I have read here on this site.
Great new my appointment is now scheduled for Jan.3, 2000.

Dr. Anthone was very nice and through in his
assessment of my needs. He recommended the RNY
with Duodenal switch. I met with other doctors
and found that Dr. Anthone offered the best
procedure for my case. I would recommend him to
anyone.

However I just agreed to pursue the surgery
so I have no first hand experience but I will
let you know how things progress.

Dr. Anthone's office called and told me I was
all approved and I scheduled my first pre-op
tests.

Things are really going smooth.

I have my Surgery date for 10/08/99 Dr.
Anthone's office has been great with setting
every thing up for me.

Dr. Anthone is a doll. He's kind, patient, and best of all - HONEST. He doesn't sugar-coat things, explains the risks and options fully, doesn't pretend to know things when he doesn't... and he's an excellent surgeon (he's a professor of surgery at USC). His surgery coordinator is a bit brusque, but I'm told that she warms up once you've committed to the surgery (or have been approved by your insurance).

I ENJOYED MEETING DR. ANTHONE VERY MUCH. MY CONSULTATION WAS VERY INSIGHTFUL. HE TOOK HIS TIME AND EXPLAINED ALL OF MY OPTIONS. HE TOOK MY MEDICAL CONDITION SERIOUSLY AND HELPED ME TO DECIDE ON THE BEST PROCEDURE. HE DID NOT TAKE MY ANSWER UNTIL I HAD TAKEN AT LEAST A WEEK TO THINK ABOUT IT AND ALL OF THE RISKS. AFTER A WEEK I DECIDED TO GO AHEAD AS PLANNED. HE WAS VERY KIND.HE OFFERED ME A CHANCE TO SIT IN ON HIS ONCE AMONTH SUPPORT GROUP MEETING FOR BOTH PRE AND POST OP PATIENTS. I AM VERY ANXIOUS TO HAVE THIS DONE. LYNNETTE

Excellent! A combination of skill, expertise and personality! Definitely a compassionate man - not running an assembly line operation.

Very caring and knowledgeable. Studied under Dr. Hess in Ohio. Dr. Anthone is selective in candidates and does not run a "cattle mill" operation. He also specializes in Colorectal surgery
