University Hospitals Hospital
I was treated like a queen with a private room and very personalized care. My husband opted to stay with me, and the gave him a cot to sleep on too. Dr. Hallowell and his staff are very caring people. Here, I had gotten a rash on my nose from my CPAP machine for sleep apnea. Dr. Hallowell and his staff were so concerend about it, that evening, I had a new mask. The Bariatric Staff at University Hospital are expectional people. If I had to to it over again, I would choose this hospital and surgeon again. I only wish I could find the right words to desribe how awesome my experience was.
I am surprised at the comments so far. It looks like people either like it or really hate it. I thought my experience was great. I was encouraged to not skimp on my pain meds. I was also encouraged to get up and move. Not easy to do, but VERY necessary. The nurses were great and I really like my surgeon. There are some bill-boards around Cleveland regarding the St. Vinnie's program. However, I'm glad I was able to have my surgery at UH. I still receive great support from the post-op group and get a LOT out of the meetings.
