University Hospitals Hospital
Everything They need to get their act together and now. I am glad I was there only 5 days and most of the time I slept Thank God for my husband and family, they took care of me for the most part, no nurses were around and they are very mean, expect Dana, and Jeannette. Both are golden angels in my book. But the rest please stay away from patients, you hurt them
Overall the bariatric program was pretty good....I had some issues with pain managemnet and they were not as responsive as I felt they should have been. I called my hubby in NY and he drove 4 and one half hours before they did anything one night for break through pain. They also had an emergency on the floor at the time which added to the mayhem. I am glad they dealt with the emergency because that could have been me, but it was still miserable that night.
overall my experience was good. I have a relative that works as a nurse at the hospital so that helped some. Being a nurse also helped me because I knew what should and should not be happening and was able to address problems at the nurses level. This facility is good about privacy right down to giving the bariatric patients private rooms. I had a couple of nurses that were very good and addressed all concerns. I only had one that seemed disinterested in my care and had to keep on him to get pain meds. The night aides were great while the day aides seemed a little less personable. Overall it was not a bad experience.
