Ascension St. Vincent - Carmel Bariatrics Hospital
Very knowledgable and pleasant. Took her time answering all of my questions and helped me make my decision. Had met with other surgeons before her and there is no comparison. Dr. Inman is wonderful. Her reputation is outstanding. Office personnel have been very helpful as well and do a good job at keeping me informed.
I'm very impressed with Dr. Diaz. He is so friendly. He really makes me feel like I'm important to him. I picked the best surgeon there's no doubt about it. He's a perfect fit. I had some issues after I had my surgery. I'm so glad that I waited on Dr. Diaz, because if I would have listened to the other surgeon she would have made it worse. Dr. Diaz knew exactly what I should do and 3 days later I feel awesome! Plus I like that he is better safe than sorry. I would rate him a 10!!! His nurse is wonderful also. If you are looking for a terrific surgeon look no farther....Dr. Diaz is the best!
I like Dr Diaz. He is personable yet to the point--I like that. I have had my surgery and on post-op visit. I like the way the visits are orchestrated. I see the Dietitian first and go through my food journal. She makes suggestions in writing and gives me a copy. I take it with me to my Dr visit and Dr Diaz reviews it with me and answers any questions I have. I value his surgical competence and his bedside manner. I like a doc who tells me like it is--no flowery stuff, just plain and to the point (no-nonsense approach). I would say that Dr Diaz fits me perfectly.
During my stay there seemed to be a staffing problem. My first morning after surgery I woke up and needed to use the bathroom. I rang the call button and they said someone would be in. No one came. 30 minutes later my IV machine started to beep. It was empty. I called again and was told someone would be there. No one came. Another 30 minutes later I called because it was time for my pain meds. I was told someone would come. 90 min after my first call I still had to use the bathroom, my machine was beeping like crazy and I was hurting. Finally, after 15 mintues of working the pressure things off my legs with my feet, I got out of bed and went to the nurses station. No one could tell me who or where my nurse was. So all in all it took 2 hours to get someone ro respond to my needs. Also, the day of surgery, they got two hours behind in my pain meds, yet still wanted me to get up and walk. I was in so much pain I was in tears. From then I called every two hours and asked for my pain meds. if they couldn't keep track, I guess I'd have to. When I was ready to leave the nurse I had was not a bariatric nurse and had no clue what to do to discharge me. Just not a very good or comforting stay and I was only there one night.
