They are great! I loved the staff at Dr. Inman's office. Everyone was friendly, but they also were very honest.

Aftercare is a major part of the program, and the staff really emphasize the aftercare program.

Rate: 10 out of 10!

I liked Dr. Inman's no-nonsense, sure-of-herself demeanor. I will definitely feel safe in her hands, especially since she is an emergency surgeon!

It does feel a bit impersonal on the first visit, though, I must admit. But that is because Dr. Inman is just trying to gather information about you, so that she can best plead your case with your insurance company. I have talked with several of her post-op patients, and they all think she is just wonderful. They all say she has excellent bedside manner! That is VERY important to me...

The staff has been quite friendly and helpful. Although, I really haven't had much interaction with them up to this point. I'll have to let you know later!

Aftercare is VERY important at St. Vincent Bariatric center. And, so is pre-op testing. They really do all they can to help you succeed!

I have just now gained insurance approval, but I'll come back and update my comments after I have something more specific to comment on.

Until then - I'm a happy camper!

Have only had one appt. so far,But she seems to be very informative and caring.

I met with Dr. Margaret Inman on September 15, 1999. She seemed very caring and interested in each of us visiting with her that day - in an individual way. She believes I am a viable candidate for surgery and I chose the RNY, with her direction, and now her office will contact my insurance to try and obtain approval. I had gathered my medical records and brought them with me, and I believe that will shave off some waiting time. If and when the insurance company provides approval, a surgery date will be set. I am excited!
Virtually the only negative was that although she did meet with us in individual meetings. These "meetings" are limited to approximately 5-10 minutes. I felt slightly rushed and part of a "meat market." I would have liked to visited with her longer.

Very professional! My surgery date is Feb 16. I'll let you know more after surgery.

The date I am writing this is July 6, 1999. I'll have to let you know later!
My initial meeting with her went well. She is VERY insistent that the tests are thorough before surgery.

Dr. Inman is a very compassionate, caring physician. I really like her on both a professional and personal level. Her staff is very caring and thorough and try to do everything in their ability to get things done. The aftercare program is wonderful, too. There are support groups, dieticians, and food programs available. She is both competent in her surgical skills and her bedside manner. If there were any negative points, I would share them here---but at this time (3 months post-op) I have not found any. On a scale of 1-10, I have to give Dr. Inman and her staff a 10!

I was originally scheduled to have this operation performed with a doctor that my health insurance suggested so that they would cover it at 100%. After researching and learning of Dr. Inman, I decided to go out of network to have my operation performed at St. Vincent's Carmel Hospital because of the excellent staff, surgeons, and overall reputation and professionalism provided there. Dr. Inman was easy to talk to and wasn't daunted by list of questions. I feel very comfortable that I will have the best care both before & especially after the surgery. I am going to end up spending close to $2,500 for this surgery when I could've had it paid 100% by my insurance company - that is how strongly I feel about choosing Dr. Inman. Research, research, research - this is your life and would you trust it to just anyone? If your surgeon doesn't speak of aftercare or have a program set-up then I would HIGHLY suggest you shop around! I'll update this after my surgery on 12-8-99.
