Dr. Evanson is a wonderful surgeon who gives it to you straight. He is passionate about weight loss surgery and has told me many times he feels it is his true calling after being a trauma surgeon for everal years. Dr. Evanson believes strongly in aftercare and follow up. I felt very informed prior to my surgery as far as what to expect not just the days after surgery, but the months and years after as well. Dr. Evanson and the team at St. Vincent's are awesome! I traveled four hours because I knew their care was far superior to what I would receive in my own town.

Dr.Evanson was compassionate, and understanding with me and remembered me from over a ago, when I met with him the first time.he wants to know that you will succeed in a life change.I would highly recommend him to anyone considering bariatric surgery, and it don't hurt that is a little hottie!

My surgeon is Margaret Inman at St. Vincent's in Carmel, IN. I have done quite a bit of research and am very confident that I will be in good hands. She did talk when I went for the group consult and went into great detail about the actual surgery as well as the risks and after care. I was very impressed. My only complaint would be that I only met with her personally for about a minute or two and will not see her again until the morning of my surgery. I guess this is typical, but I think this is a huge deal and would like to have had a little more time to talk to her personally.I definitely feel like surgical competence is the more important than bedside manner, but of course, both would be great. I have a couple of friends who had her perform their RNY and said that she offers both! I do have peace of mind, knowing that she is absolutely top in her field. I will update more after my surgery.

Dr. Diaz is an amazing surgeon. He was very optimistic from my orientation class onward. He is very thorough with your medical history, and explains things and is patient with answering your questions. He has the best bedside manner and believes the patient knows themself, and never second guesses how you feel. I am very pleased that he handled the biggest decision of my life.

The hospital was over an hour away but it was well worth the effort even though I have many hospitals closer. I would drive the distance for any other proceedure at that hospital also. I would rate it the highest of any hospital around.

Dr. Inman was very helpful and answered all my concerns and questions. Her staff is friendly and helpful. I expecially like Dr. Inman's concern for the welfare of her patients and how she is realisitc about what can be accomplished.rnrnYes...a structured before and after program.rnrnSurgery risks wer all addressed.rnrnOn a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the top, I would rate Dr. Margaret Inman as a 10. Surgical competence and bedside manner are equally great.rnrnAt the time of my surgery (June 2006) I believe Dr. Inman was the only doctor that was allowed to perform the DS proceedure due to insurance reasons.

Had my surgery several years ago, so I figured it was about time to put in my opinion. Dr. Evanson is a wonderful physician, he came recommended to me by several other MD's. I did have some routine complications and he handled it all very well. He can be compassionate but at the same time very honest and doesn't sugar-coat things. He has a great sense of humor with just a touch of cockiness - which to be a surgeon I think you have to be a bit cocky. Maybe it is not so much cockiness as just confidence in his skills. But it is a good thing! I trust his abilities and at this point wouldn't want any other general surgeon to touch me!

Beside being handsome, Dr. Evanson made me feel very during our first consultation. I am very excited to start this journey. The office is very helpful. All my pre-op tests are scheduled and I am ready to begin.
