Ascension St. Vincent - Carmel Bariatrics Hospital
My first impression of Dr. Inman was very good. She presents herself as she is; extrememly knowledgeable and competent. She and I have the same sense of humour, so I found our conversations informative, straightforward and...well, actually, fun. rnrnI have spoken with Vicky and Karen from her office. What I appreciate most about both ladies is not only their knowledge and professionalism, but the fact that they were both extremely encouraging. I truly feel that I am working with them to solve a problem that I have....and not like I am the problem.rnrnIf there is any negative thing thus far concerning Dr. Inman, it is that I wonder when she has time to be a wife and mother.rnrnFuture patients should know that Dr. Inman has TWO full drawers of socks! She has a quirk, just like each of us in the rest of the world. And, quite frankly, I think it is a fun quirk.rnrn
When I went to the information session, I thought Dr. Evanson was great. He seemed to be very open and talkative with me, and everone else, which is a great thing. I like people with personality, and Dr. Evanson definately has that little extra spark. The office staff are great. I know they will take good care of me at St Vincents.
I chose Dr. Evanson because his reputation is excellent and he has a lot of experience with the Lap Band. My initial impression is that he is energetic and passionate about bariatric surgery. He does general surgery as well. I have not yet had my surgery, but know other folks who he has worked with and have only heard good things.
She is very direct and to the point. I like that. My first impression of her is she knows her stuff. The office staff is great and there isn't anything bad I can say about Dr Inman or her office staff. rnI had an incident where I was only a few days out from surgery and I had been out walking in the drive way. The boys were playing basketball and the ball bounced off the rim and hit me directly on my largest incision. I was on the ground quick. After many tears from my son and myself, I got a call into the doctor. She assured me that I would be fine. And I was. Just scared. rnI understood every aspect of the surgery regarding risks and complications and the aftercare.rnShe is an outstanding physician all the way around. rnI think the only thing that has been disappointing is I missed a follow up appt due to not having a reminder call and now it will be Nov before I can get back in. Other than that, I have been very pleased.
My first impression of Dr. Inman was that she was professional and very caring. She has lived up to that first impression by always answering all of my questions (even when the list is long) and by listening to me when I'm having issues to help me resolve them. The office staff is awesome, and though they are very busy, they are so friendly. Dr. Inman is thorough and caring each time I see her. I suggest always coming with a list of questions, b/c she stays in the room only as long as they are questions because she has so many patients to take care of. If I had to pick between bedside manor or surgical competence, I would always pick surgical competence. But with Dr. Inman, I feel that she has both!!! She's an awesome surgeon and a good person as well!! She is my hero b/c she has changed my life!
