Ascension St. Vincent - Carmel Bariatrics Hospital
Dr. Evanson seemed to be a very easy going and a well educated person.rnOver time Dr. Evanson in my opinion proved to be an excellent surgeon.rnDr. Evanson's office staff have been very eager to help. They are very informative.rnThe only downfall I felt was that from the time of my consultation to my surgery I didn't get to see Dr. Evanson until the morning of my surgery. That was 4 months. rnFuture patients should know that along with Dr. Evanson, his staff and the hospital were all fantastic in caring for me.rnIt was my observation that in the opinion of the Dr. and his staff the aftercare is very important.rnThe aftercare program is very structured.rnDr. Evanson was very open and honest about the risks of the surgery.rnI think Dr.Evanson was a great surgeon. I feel comfortable with him and he seems as if he genuinely wants to help his patients get healthy.rnIn my opinion his surgical competence along with his bedside manner were both great.
Dr Inman was so confidnet and professional I just knew the min I saw her that she was the one. I have searched high and low to find a surgeon and I just had this peace about myself when I met her. She had no doubt about it that she could do my surgery. The office staff are always so eager to help out with any questions or concerns and always so polite and sweet. I HIGHLY recommend Dr Inman for all high risk patients!!!
My first impression of Dr. Inman is that she was very knowledgeable and to-the-point. She's been doing bariatric surgery for many years, and I appreciated the format of and the detail provided in the group consult. After my one-on-one consult, all of my questions had been answered adequately. Dr. Inman's entire team at Meridian Surgical Group including her P.A., scheduler, insurance guru, etc. have proven to be helpful & friendly, as well. My only complaint is that the office staff I met with for my initial group consult at St. Vincents bariatric center (who do not work directly for Dr. Inman) left room to be desired. They were much more familiar with the gastric bypass than the DS surgery, and were not always the most friendly. Overall, I feel confident having my DS surgery with Dr. Inman at St. Vincents hospital. I'll provide more details after pre-op testing & surgery. rnrnPost-op opinions: I have the utmost respect for Dr. Inman and am so glad I chose her as my surgeon! My surgery was complication free & my hospital stay comfortable, and all my post-op appointments with her have been excellent. She is not a woman of many words, but is truly a top-notch surgeon and I would highly recommend her to those closest to me. The only negative is that I continue to have issues with various people at St. Vincent's bariatric center (dietitians, general office staff, etc) BUT they do not work directly for Dr. Inman and are worth putting up with in order to get Dr. Inman's excellent surgical skills.
She is very down to earth. She will tell you how it is and what to expect.rnrnWhat I liked about her is she gives you confidence and has complete confidence in her office staff. What I liked most was her hair. She has some crazy fly-away hair at times and it suits her. She's just overall very nice.rnrnShe told me that there are risks, but told me they will test me and know everything that we're facing before we do it.rnrnrnThe only negative thing I can say is that the office doesn't return calls very promptly. They need help. They are shorthanded. I understand this though, because there are so many people out here that are wanting and needed the help. I know everyone wants to be first. That was me too. :)
They are so focused on Bariatrics. When I went in for my pre-op test, everything went smoothly, I didn't have any long wait time between test. I finished all my test in 1.45 hours. They have a Bariatric floor and all the rooms are private. They have a walking path marked on the floor to measure distance. I had an excellent recovery.
