I'm not happy. I was ignored when I complained my IV wasn't working (it wasn't), the nurses always seemed rushed, no one gave me an abodminal binder until my third day (probably gonna have a hernia), they brought me tap water post-op even though orders said bottled water, all in all I'd give this hospital a 5 on a 1 to 10 scale.

I had heard from other patients who had surgery there that the care was terrible and that if I did not have a family member or friend there 24/7 chasing the nurses for assitance, that I would be sorry. Well, as it turns out, the service by the nurses was lousy and I even had nurses put on my chart that they gave me pain medication that I never got.

The hospital was excellent. My doctor uses this hospital. All of his bariatric patients are given private rooms. It's was wonderful. All the privacy a person could ask for. The nurses were very responsive. Like everywhere else some nurses were more responsive than others, but for the most part the nursing staff was very good.

Many times it took 2 hours for the nurses to get me out of bed. Many times they did not tell what meds they were giving me. I asked for female assistants sinse I was on my period, and they still gave me male nurses. You MUST bring someone to the hospital to stay in the room with you/ for safety issues! There was also a beehive in the ceiling of my room and they transfered me, but didn't tell the hospital operator, and many of my calls didn't go through!
