Hackensack University Medical Center Hospital
The staff that they use at Hackensack is wonderful. I was on a specialty floor where all of my doctor's patients go and the staff was trained by my doctor on how he wanted his patients treated with what medications and so on. I think I healed better with such a competant staff. The nurses on the floor were truly the very best I have ever seen.
Most of the staff was great, OR people wonderful. My Or nurse was excellent. The pre-op department wonderful. Just wait until you get on the floor. Some nurses were less that nice. Others were good. The nursing assistants forget it. I had an incident were if I had not been so weak with pain after my surgery I would have decked one of them.
HUMC is more like being in a Luxury Hotel than in a hospital. The professionalism begins the moment you step inside the door and continues until you depart. The nurses are human and humane and speak English! The assistants are really helpful and the residents have warm bedside manners and a sense of humor. I hear the food is great but can't state for sure as I was on a diet of broth and Jello.
