It is a physically lovely hospital. It has many amenities and considerations for both patients and visitors, but those pale in comparison to vital patient care

I LOVED MY HOSPITAL STAY AS PAINFUL AS IT WAS.THE STAFF MET EVERYONE OF MY NEEDS ASAP AND I WOULD RECOMMEND HU IN A HEARTBEAT TO ANYONE.

This hospital was very good!! The staff was friendly and helpful. I found that maybe there were too many paitents per nurse, but they all knew their stuff!! The atmosphere was friendly also, almost like a hotel instead of the coldness of a hospital.

Hackensack University is a well equipped, beautiful place. The staff was very helpful, patient and professional. I love this hospital! There is nothing I could say bad about this place. I would have all my needs served there if I didn't live so far.

I have not had the surgery yet (tomorrow) BUT - make sure about your participating and non participating provider status. Hackensack Hospital told me my insurance was par with the hospital two months ago. They then called me 10/3/03 (3 days before my scheduled surgery) to inform me that I had to pay out of network rates because my doctor was out of network with my insurance (oxford). I love Dr. Capella and I am going to still have this surgery BUT I am very dissappointed in the Billing Office's protocol about getting in contact with their patients. The staff (not including the billing office) was phenomenal and I would go back for any procedure there a million times, but again I must emphasize be wary of your health insurance and if your doctor is par or not par with it.

There was not a single aspect of this hospital expirience that was negitive. Employees throughout the organization were very respectful, helpful and friendly.

I have been back to Hackensack several times after my surgery, because of some complications. The nursing staff on 3 Pavillion West could not have been any better. They were wonderfully supportive to me and gave me the courage to go on.
