Hackensack University Medical Center Hospital

Hospital was clean staff was well organizied.

I was impressed with all in the operating room, as well as in recovery. The floor that I was sent to for the next few hours did not appear to have the staff needed to care for the patients as soon as something was needed.

The nurses are EXCELLENT!!! My night nurse was Heidi & my day nurse was Georgia( Like the state..as she will tell you!!) You two and the rest of the staff are EXCELLENT..THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR COMPASSION AND CARE!!

My overall experince, post-op, was very good. I had Pat as a daytime nurse and she was really nice and responsive. I would recommend this hospital to anyone having WLS.

Never had a bad expeirences there. I would highly recommend.

For the most part it was ok. Was not happy with the pain mgmt in the recovery room. I was having severe muscle spasms at the surgical site, and the nurse kept telling me it was gas. I finally had to get her attention with some serious language and then she gave me an anti-spasm injection.
I was then placed in a room where the nurse call button did not work and the bed was very uncomfortable. The room also was not cleaned as often as it should have been neither was the bathroom.

i would highly recommend this hospital..from the preop to the nurses station they were great..i wish i could remember everyones name..but i remember christine, georgia..and the lil pregnanant nurse..she has a lil bargaining power..she is absolutely adorable. thanks for everything

I was so impressed with the staff ..they was always there when you need ..took the time each day to ask how one was..shared laughes with me and just made it overall great experience.
I found nurses and Dr's that were not in my area in passing them through daily walks each day...reached out to tell me to keep it up..mention it was good I was walking..and just sharing a simple sime and a quick hello in passing...now this goes down to the cleaning staff Maria ..the cooks and just everyone in general on the 3rd fl.

This will be my choice hospital for anything I might have in the future that requires hospital stay.

They should have a bariatric floor. When I was there, in the room next to me was an old guy who had colon cancer and moan in pain ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!!!.

Everyone was very professional,kind, helpful, I"m not going to nit-pick like some people I've seen on this site. I had a thourghly pleasant expierence here.
