THEY SAID THEY WERE SHORT OF NURSES DUE TO ILLNESS. THIS IS THE REASON IT TOOK 3 HRS TO ATTEND TO A BADLY INFILTRATED IV WHICH OCCURRED MORE THEN ONCE. THE NURSES I DID HAVE WERE VERY BUSY. LOTS OF LOUD LAUGHING AND CONVERSATION DAY AND NIGHT AT THE NURSES STATION. THE RN'S SEEM TO SHOW MORE CONCERN FOR THE PT CARE. SURGERY TEAM, MY DR AND MY ANESTIEGIOLOGIST WERE THE BEST. FLOOR NURSES TOLD ME THEY ARE ALL WORKING 12 HR SHIFTS, 6-7 PTS A PIECE
DR. LUDWIG'S FIRST IMPRESSION WAS WONDERFUL. HE IS VERY PATIENT AND KIND.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY OFFICE STAFF TO BE AS FAMILY ORIENTED AS THIS ONE.
THERE ARE NOTHING "LEAST" ABOUT HE OR THE PEOPLE IN HIS OFFICE.
FUTURE PATIENTS SHOULD KNOW THAT IF THEY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT ANYTHING, THEY SHOULD ASK. BECAUSE ALL OF THERE QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED HONESTLY AND WITH NO HESITATION.
DR. LUDWIG PUTS A GREAT DEAL OF EMPHASIZE ON AFTERCARE BECAUSE IT IS VERY INPORTANT FOR HE AND THE PATIENT TO KNOW HOW THEY ARE DOING AFTER SURGERY.
THE DR. ADDRESSED ALL OF THE KNOWN RISK OF THE SURGERY. I LEFT HIS OFFICE WITH ALL QUESTIONS ANSWERED.
I WOULD RATE DR. LUDWIG WITH A 10! TO THE INFINITY POWER!!!!!!!
HIS BEDSIDE MANNER IS WONDERFUL
I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS.

the first time i met dr.ludwig and his staff,i really liked them.they took as much time as i needed to answer all my questions.his staff took care of all my insurance for me.if they needed anything they just called me,i sent it to them and they took it from there.dr.ludwig puts strong emphasiz on the fact that this is a tool and not a merical.i have not had my surgery yet,but i have nothing negative to say about dr. ludwig or his staff (judy and brittney).
i love my Dr. he has changed my life completely . and for that i will be forever grateful. words can't describe the graditude i have for him and his staff at live lite in Biloxi...His Nurse Judy is a wonderful lady and oh the office staff is in top form.... i tip my hat to you all plz keep up the awesome work , you have changed so many lives for the better. before i had my surgery i felt as tho i wouldn't get to see my grandchildern be born, much less watch them grow. but now i have a whole life time to enjoy them.Dr Ludwig has been very helpful in telling me what to expect and things that may happen to me before and now after the surgery, he keeps me in my right frame of mind . tells me to call or email if i have any trobles at all. so far i have been doing well. but i do seem to be falling into a depression, so i may need to call him about that?, oh about rateing my Dr? on a scale of 1 to 10 i'd say he is an 11, he has the best bedside manner i've ever known.
8/04 I returned for my 2 year follow-up. Dr Rose is gone & I miss her. Dr. Ludwig has taken her place. I met him, drilled him & maybe even got a bit personal. I was very impressed. He even helped me out with a medical problem totally unrelated to the WLS while I was there. He closed the door, sat down & said ask away. I was told that Dr Rose recommended him so I have faith that he is going to be wonderful. Dr. Rose was nothing but meticulous & I know she would be just as meticulous in choosing someone to take over care of her patiens. Aftercare is a big issue here & well covered. Pre-op testing is in depth as it should be. I believe his surgical competence & bedside manner to be exemplary. Highly recommend him.
My Surgeon, Dr. Deron Ludwig of Gulf Coast Medical Center was incredible! The staff at Live Light was just as incredible as he is! There was not one bit of nervousness, anxiety, worry, regret or anything else as I was waiting to go into surgery. Everything was so relaxed and the staff was so professional. Would I do it over again? Of course I would. No problems! On a scale of 1-10, it would definitely be a 10!!!! While completing this questionnaire, I saw where negative comments are welcomed more than positive comments due to the lack of belief for "all positive info" but I honestly can say I can't think of anything negative that happened those couple of days or for the aftercare. My experience was great! So Dr. Ludwig, Judy and Brittany...YOU ALL PASSED :o)
Dr. Ludwig was very quiet and thoughtful. I felt comfortable with him immediately. He asked a few questions and even cracked a few jokes. He answered every one of my questions with easy to understand answers and never appeared to be in a rush to get away from me. He took "time" with me and that is almost unheard of from ANY doctor!!
Dr. Ludwig's staff are GREAT! Brittney makes you feel right at home. Judy is also great, very reassuring and encouraging!
Aftercare was explained thoroughly by each of the staff and always the emphasis to call if I had any questions or concerns.
The risks of surgery were explained in detail (which were nominal) and I felt totally comfortable.
I would rate Dr. Ludwig and his staff a 20 on a scale of 1 to 10!!
I really can't say enough - surgical competence and bedside manner are both GREAT!!
I encourage anyone to seek out Dr. Ludwig. You won't be sorry!!
Considering that it is the only option locally, you couldn't ask for more. They could act like "we don't care, we don't have too" but they didn't and I greatly appreciated it! I was extrememly lucky to be able to have my surgery done at such a quality facility as Enloe, with quality people to take care of me.
Dr. Ludwig is one of the finest surgeons I've ever met. Having worked in the healthcare industry and coming from a family of healthcare workers, I've been in a position to encounter many, many Doctors.
Dr. Ludwig is very thorough in all of his explanations on the various surgical bypass surgeries and is forthright in the pros and cons to all of them.
I've had all of my questions answered promptly and completely. Dr. Ludwig's bedside manner is wonderful. He is very thorough and makes you feel completely comfortable with the entire process and the post operative care. Dr. Ludwig and his entire staff are all very good at making sure every patient is comfortable before, during, and after surgery. They are very prompt and courteous in explaining every step of the process, what to expect, checking on how you're feeling and how to get through some of the tough spots. I highly recommend that anyone considering this procedure to contact Dr. Ludwig and his staff.
