Enloe Medical Center (COE) Hospital

The privacy issue is one that made my stay very difficult. In the five days I was there, I had three different roommates. Two of them were initially in great pain (accident multiple fracture victims)and were in audible agony all night. Two of them had multiple noisy family members staying until midnight when I finally would complain to the charge nurse to get them to go away; then these patients would get mad at me and ask for a different room so they could continue their parties elsewhere. I just don't get this attitude about hospitalization! There are private rooms at Enloe; I would definitely ask for one up front and pay the difference, but I wasn't in a frame of mind to be able to do this immediately postop, just trying to deal with the pain and meds, etc. Rest is very important after this surgery and it takes concentration to be able to deal with it and start to heal.

Dr. Simchuck is so comfortable and instantly puts you at ease. He's very polite and respectful. I was instantly relaxed. He spoke of coaching his daughter's little league team and since I have an 8yo daughter, we hit it off.
I asked some hard questions during my first appointment and his knowledge and excellent answers let me know I had no worries with him. I am very happy I had the surgery and even more happy knowing I have a very capable and thorough surgeon who's very helpful during my follow up appointments.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Simchuck!
