Dr. Erik Simchuk, Bariatric Surgeon Erik Simchuk, MD is a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon sharing his surgical expertise at North Valley Surgical Associates. As a board-certified surgeon, he is accomplished in performing laparoscopic bariatric surgery and general surgery. Dr. Simchuk specializes in advanced minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Simchuk completed his residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center where he was chief resident. He earned his medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School. Dr. Simchuk then traveled to Bristol, England where he undertook a fellowship in upper gastrointestinal surgery at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Having trained with Dr. Deron Ludwig at Virginia Mason Medical Center years previously, Dr. Simchuk joined him in practice in 2007. Dr. Simchuk is an active member of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT), the Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS).
