I have to say this was the best experience I have ever had. Dr Houston took me on as a patient after a surgeon in Clarksville TN was just going to let me die. I spent months in and out the hospital in clarksville. I had 3 abdominal surgeries there and still was sick. The doctor made me feel as if I were crazy, but one thing that worked for me was that I am a RN and I am not a big dumb A**. So that brings us to Dr Houston that took me and helped save my life. I had another surgery to redue the mess that was inside me. I did have iternal bleeding 2 days after surgery, but was rushed to ICU with Dr Houston pushing my bed with the nurses. Dr Houston never left my side durning this scary moment for me. Dr Houston had to perform an emergency surgery due to the feeding tube and my body rejecting it. He is who you want to do your surgery to begin with. I then had a bowel obstruction and a swollen stomach. Dr Houston had a tube placed in my old stomach so it could deflat it so to speak. I spent 4 weeks total in the hospital. Tis hospital was wonderful. The nurse at his office came daily or called to check on me. I think her for her support. Please listen and check who your surgeon is. If he makes you feel crazy...RUN.. Tell your insurance company and let thm know how the doctor i treating you. have the surgery done right to begin with go with Dr Houston and you will be in a wonderful mans hands. He is so great. Any problems after I returned home his office made sure I was okay and knew to call day or night to ask questions and speak to the doctor not an answering service! GO WITH DR HOUSTON! HE IS GREAT!

Dr Dyer was great. Dr Dyers staff was very supportive throughout the entire preparation for my RNY Gastric Bypass. My surgery was 12/12/2011, took 4 hours. I was an inpatient at Centennial Medical Center. Everyone from Anesthesiologist to nurse were outstanding. I am a month out and have lost 43 lbs post-surgery.

Dr. Olsen is fantastic! He spends time with his patients explaining in detail what to expect. He is pleasant and so far I have had NO complications from surgery. Thank you Dr. Olsen and Centennial for providing a warm and comforting environment!

Very happy with my surgery from Dr Dyer. HE is an excellent doctor and took extremely good care of me. My only problem after surgery was nausea and vomiting the first 24 hours. This was not Dr Dyers fault and he took wonderful care of me every step of the way. I am a Registered nurse and I live several hours away. I was very impressed by Dr Dyer when hearing him speak and meeting him in person. A previous review said that he was very calm under pressure and was able to handle any complication that might come up. I did not have any complications ( except the n/v) but I felt like he had my best interests at heart every step of the way I had a sleeve gastrectomy in March 2011.I am down 62 pounds so far. I must also say that Joanna and Robin were awesome every step of the way. I always felt I could take my time...ask Dr Dyer anything and he made a point to make every patient feel cared for...and that he has given a very complete understanding of what the procedure would be. I told him my greatest criteria ( besides being an excellent surgeon) was that he have compassion and I believe that he does have that for each and every patient. I am so glad I found Centennial and had Dr Dyer as my surgeon.

I had gastric bypass almost one year ago and Dr. Dyer was my physician of choice. I didn't know anything about him prior to the surgery but after reading his biography I choose him because of his acknowlegement of Jesus Christ. My faith is one of the most important facets of my life and it gave me comfort in knowing my doctor and I shared the same faith. Dr. Dyer is a true professional and I was impressed with him from our first meeting. He took his time going over all the details of bariatric surgery and answered any questions I had with patience and care. I never felt rushed during the intital meeting or in any of my followup visits. He is what I would call conservative in his care which is fine with me because I know he has my best interest at heart. I had a slight setback a few days after my surgery and he went to great lengths to take precautions to make sure I received the best care possible. I even tried to bargain with him and he never budged for a minute (I guess that makes him stubborn too which is the only negative I can come up with. LOL!) The office staff is exceptional, as well. It is obvious that the patience and care that Dr. Dyer exhibits trickles down through his staff. While I understand 5 star ratings can be questionable because we all have some area we can work on, I cannot honestly rate Dr. Dyer and his staff any lower than that due to the exceptional care I feel they have provided to me. I am truly going to be sad not to be able to go visit with them every 3 months once I reach my one year mark. By the way, I reached my goal weight at my 9 month visit and I'm so glad I decided to take this journey. Centennial provides you with great opportunities for aftercare so take full advantage of this to ensure a lifetime of good health and continued success after your surgery. Did I mention that Dr. Dyer has become my new favorite doctor?

My first impression of Dr. Olsen was very favorable. He covered all of the risks and the pre/post operative plans he expected me to follow. More importantly he emphasized that WLS is only a tool and it's up to the patient to alter their eating habits to maximize the benefits.

He gives his patients all the information needed to make an informed decision on which surgery is best for them and their lifestyle. Dr. Dyer gladly answered all questions and concerns. He guides his patients along the process to better health. I would highly recommend Dr. David Dyer. He is a true asset to Centennial Center Treatment for Obesity. Dr. Dyer has given me my life back! I have tried many times to loss weight and been unsuccessful. However, thanks to Dr. Dyer and the ladies in his office I am becoming more successful everyday. When I first meet Dr. Dyer, he made me feel good about the decision I had made. He walked me through the process and explained what would happen. He was easy to talk to and answered all my questions. While I was in the hospital, he came to see me daily and answered all the question I had. He even made me stay in the hospital extra days to make sure I was 100% ready to go home.He made me feel like my health was his major concern. Since the surgery, he has not stop given me the care I need. He was great with my family and I am glad I choose him as my doctor.

My first impression for Dr Olsen was he's a bear of the surgeons at this center. Hes tough and straight forward. But over time up to this day my impression has changed, hes an amazing doctor and surgeon and I am so thankful that I chose him. If he wasnt so straight forward and strong hearted about this, so many people would fail and wouldnt make it through this, he is just what I needed to kick my butt into the right direction!
Honestly there isnt anything I dont like about him now, I think hes a great doctor to kick your butt in the right direction! I will say if your looking for a surgeon to be all fun and talk and not straight forward and tough then he isnt the doctor for you, but if you want a doctor that means business and wants you to be successful and is tough on you to keep your butt straight then he is the doctor for you! He always makes sure that you are doing group therapy, that your taking care of yourself, and checks to make sure all is going well.
The after care program is great, the first month I went twice, then after that I went once a month and now its every 3 months, and its a lot more than any other aftercares that I have forseen in my past. And even before surgery they addressed everything about the surgery, straight forward completely, and thoroughly. Everything from the good to even the bad, they didnt sugar coat anything.
He has an amazing office staff, the nurses are so caring and friendly, and they make me feel like Im apart of the family there.
Over all Dr. Olsen and his staff are an amazing group and they know what they are doing.I love the fact that bariatric care is all they do so they can completely focus on this issue with the patient without other things in the way. Ive been treated amazingly, and without them I wouldnt be where i am today! Dr. Olsens surgical competence and bedside manners are both excellent and I have been very pleased with having him as my doctor and surgeon.
