From the first meeting with Dr. Dyer, he was very informative and set clear expectations. I really like his professionalism and genuine concern for my well being. The staff especially Holly was awesome as well. Answer my endless questions and issues. i would definitely recommend Dr. Dyer

I've been ill for a very long time. I live several hours away from Dr. Olsen, my last visit was in 2008 I did mention my gastric issues then, and they were dismissed. I just returned 2012, I've lost my job, my home and have been homeless for over 2 years. Dr Olsen was so cold to that fact and just said it's been hard for all of us. On a good note the dietician and group leader couldn't have been more compassionate and supportive. This has been the hardest think I've ever had to live through, or talk about. My regular doctor at home misdiagnosed me for 9 years. I was over medicated, over diagiagnosed, and lost everything because of it. I feel the compassion level is being lost as the amount of patients goes up. Am I wrong, or was it just a bad day for the both of us?

Dr Olsen is a very determined Doctor. By that he's determined to see you succeed in WLS. His staff could not be any better at what they do. I believe having staff that has been in my shoes make all the difference in the world. Dr. Olsen wants things done right, no excuses. My first meeting with him was 2 hours long, informative, and he gave all the possible risks that there could be. I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Olsen, and think his office is top notch. These are only my views, and research should be done by anyone looking to have the surgery.

Dr. Dyer is an excellent physician. He has always taken the time to sit down and speak with me to ensure all of my concerns were addressed.

I first met Dr. Olsen when he performed my wife's surgery in 2009. I really liked the fact that he was very straight forward and honest. But also took the time to explain every small detail and the most minor questions. About a year after my wife's surgery I decided to see Dr. Olsen about performing surgery on me. At the time I weighed 336lbs. At the time of my consult I was told that I would need to have a referal from my primary care physician. Upon speaking to my pcp I was told that he did not see any reason for anyone to have this surgery. Being very upset and thinking my surgery was over I made a call to Gay at Dr. Olsen's office and told her to cancel my future appointments. She told me to come see Dr. Olsen and "he WOULD take care of it". Well he did just that. I gained a whold new respect for Dr. Olsen that day when I heard him FIGHT for me with the insurance company. After about 5 minutes I was approved for surgery. I have no doubt in my mind that Dr. Olsen and his staff have saved my life and the life of my wife! Since this time i have lost 150lbs and haven't looked back. My wife has had some ongoing health issues (not related to surgery) and Dr. Olsen has been there every step of the way to lend any advise or help that he could. In closing, I have recommended Dr. Olsen and his staff to others who were interested in surgery and I will continue to do so. THANK YOU Dr. Olsen and staff.

My surgery was May 23, 2012. Dr Dyer made sure my family was kept up to date without any guessing during my surgery. He visited me everyday and sometimes twice a day in the hospital. He is a very wonderful and caring doctor!

I had my surgery on November 18th, 2010, as of this date, April 1, 2012 I have lost a total of 150 lbs and maintained that loss. Before surgery I was 300 lbs. had congestive heart failure and sleep apnea. I could not walk anywhere without being out of breath. I was slowly but surely killing myself. Dr. Dyer and his staff gave me my life back. I weigh 150 lbs now. I am walking over a mile 3 times a week. I have energy that I haven't had in years. I no longer have CHF nor sleep apnea. I'm able to work in the yard again. I'm 59 years old and feel better than I did at 45.I have a saying now, "I used to live to eat; now I eat to live". I recommend if you are obese and are having similar problems that I have described this is the way to go. I had the Gastric by-pass and it worked.

I met Dr. Dyer when I attended the information seminar in July 2011. He was patient with my questions during the seminar and each time I met with him. After completing the necessary work for insurance purposes, I was able to schedule my surgical consult in January 2012. Once again, Dr. Dyer took the time to go over the risks and benefits of weight loss surgery. As an analytical person, this was key for me. We were able to schedule my surgery for February 14th, the best Valentine's Day gift I could ever receive. I just went to my one-month follow-up. Thus far, I have lost 21 pounds since the surgery and 41 pounds since beginning this journey last July.

Dr. Dyer and everyone in his office, from the nurses to the dieticians and the exercise physiologist, have been very helpful when I needed answers to questions. While I have had just one little post-op issue (mostly due to my learning about what I can do and what I can't do yet), I was able to talk to the staff and get answers within the hour that helped me adjust what I was doing to ensure future success.

The information given at the surgical consult is overwhelming at first, but the User's Manual is priceless. I have only had one or two questions that were not easily found and understandable in the manual.

All in all, I have no complaints. Dr. Dyer and his staff told me what to expect, what could happen, and were willing to take the time during the one time when something unexpected happened. Dr. Dyer definitely emphasizes the aftercare program, and I love my support group. Knowing that Dr. Dyer and his staff, as well as those in my support group, are available when I have questions or when I struggle is what will get me through this process.

I could not have ask for a better experience than what I had at Centennial Center for the Treatment of Obesity and the Centennial MEdical Center! From the girls in the finance office to the nurses on the floor, I've never felt so good about anything. Dr. Houston was straight up with me and didn't sugar coat anything about the surgery or the treatment afterwards. He and his nurse Holly are awesome and I owe them my life! I was 307 lbs and lost 120 lbs over a year. I was very prepared for what I was facing The counselors and nutritionists were awesome as well. They laid everything out and even 5 yrs out, they are still helping me to stay on track. Thank you all!!

I am most impressed with the entire Centennial for Obesity staff and the care they provide for their patients. Dr. Olsen is a wonderful professional who gives me the facts as I need them-in black and white. Thanks to Dr Olsen's years of experience, my gastric bypass has been wonderfully successful thus far. Thanks Dr Olsen and team for your expert care.
