I go in for surgery on Feb 11. Dr Dyer has been a big help to me. When I had any questions I always got an answer. He is very nice, and everyone that works in his office was nice.

Initally I found him very quiet and reserved, but as a result of my after-care meetings, mey impression has changed. He is serious and encouraging.

His office is friendly and helpful.

One dislike is that his office appointments often run late. if you have a 2 pm appt, you are likely to get in at 3 or 3:30 pm.

He is a very competent surgeon. He is many health care plans and is likely to be "in -network".

His surgery fee includes a year of follow-up visits. One week after surgery, 2 weeks, then monthly. He is encouarages you to follow the committments of diet, excercise and being in a support group. He is a bit upset if you aren't following his suggestions.

At our initial visit, he covered the risks and issues, though I had done a lot research.

I would recommend him. I think his surgical skill exceeds his bedside manner, but his bedside manner is good. It was a good experience. I was very fortunate to find Dr. Dyer and the Centennial program. They give support and follow-up.

Dr. Dyer is a wonderful man. He came in Friday after the storm and took my drain out. I guess I could not have asked for a nicer person. I believe he wants to help people improve themselves and is as excited as we are as we lose. Best choice I could have made

Dr. Dyer was highly competant. He portrayed himself very believably as an expert. He's very proud of his technique and he as well as his patients believe he is the best. He is very good at making something extremely complicated, easy to understand; without talking down to you. He firmly believes that this surgery is the ONLY effective treated for morbid obesity. Only 3-4% of all morbidly obese people will lose the weight and keep it off via traditional diet methods. He truly believes in what he is doing, very proud of it and is very caring. He comes off as a true friend to the obese person. I haven't had much experience with his office staff yet, but they appear very nice and experienced and accomodating. I'm struggling to find something that I like "least" at my surgeon, however he is so much into what he does that he may come off a little impersonal. He has helped so many people that his first office visit sounds like he's giving a 'canned' speech, in retrospect, I understand why. It's not because he doesn't care about what he does, it's merely because he does this SOO much. He has a very comprehensive aftercare program and stresses the importance of a lifestyle change (exercise, diet, support groups). I would rate him a 9.5 so far. His surgical competance is excellent he comes highly recommended. He backs up what he says... very knowledgable about the alternatives and the pros and cons.

Dr Olsen was very informative and let me know everything about the surgery including complications that could occur.

His office staff are very friendly and helpfull.

Dr Olsen emphasizes aftercare alot. He always asks if you are taking all your vitamins, drinking your water, and attending support groups.

The program at Centennial in Nashville has an excellent program. They have seminars and they work on getting your insurance approved for you. they also have monthly support meetings.

I could not have picked a better surgeon. He has both excellent bedside manner and his surgical competence.

I met with Dr. Miller on 12/21/01. I could not schedule surgery at the time because of a Father who was in failing health. Lost my Father 2/8/02. When I got back home on about the 15th of FEB I received a letter from Dr Miller's office stating that I had so many day to move my file to another Dr. He closed office shortly there after and moved out state.

I am now with Dr. Dyer. He is straight forward and answered my question and was very pleasent. Dr. Dyer's staff is great.

Yes I had to wait in the office for quite a while but it was well worth it because it was like a good support group and they answered several of my questions.

that he was very concern and he seems very nice. i have to get back to because i have only met him once. his office staff is very helpful very friendly. dr.dyer has a very structured after surgury program. they give you a notebook that is abslutely wonderful!!! it takes you step by step through what to expect in the surgury befor and after and has a list of foods it is so great i reread it all the time. he sat down and told me about the risk involved in this surgury and the percent he was very through about it. his office called this week to see if i still wanted to have the surgury or if i change my mind and i say i am all for it lets go haha. 11-17-02
well i had the surgery done. i just want to say that that dr.dyer is the very best he is very carrying amd he knows what he is doing!!!! doc you are the best

Dr Olsen is very knowledgable about this surgery. He and his partner have performed over 400 of them. He is very thourough and described the procedure and risks in great detail. I feel he gave me all the information I needed to make a good decision!

His office staff is really great, once you get to know them. They are extremly busy, but have always been very helpful whenever I have had to call in with a question. I can be very hard to get an appointment with him. But I feel he is truly the best in the area and well worth the wait!

He was a very nice and very professional man, and as I knew him better, I liked him more and more. He is extremely busy with us 'chubettes', so he doesn't have lots of time, but will stop to take the time to answer any questions I have. He has a nice office staff as well, and you can really get to know people waiting in his waiting room! Sometimes this is because you have to wait for a while in the waiting room, due to his heavy schedule, I guess. That is the only bad thing about using Dr. Dyer is the waiting in the waiting room.

He has a structured aftercare program, and apparently is very competent, since I didn't have any issues whatsoever. I rate him as excellent.
