Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital (COE) Hospital

I wasn't that impressed with the hospital staff, they weren't that informative about discharge instructions and were in so much of a hurry that I felt I was being pushed out the door.

Overall the hospital was very good. Unfortunately, I was placed in the same room as an extremely ill woman and there were people in the room constantly caring for her, so I didn't get much rest. They have a waiting list for private rooms that I was on, but unfortunately no rooms were available.

I would recommend St Mary's with hesitation. The facilities were modern, nursing staff was considerate and efficient. I was lucky that I was able to take care of myself after the anesthesia wore off, and my daughter was with me each day. My epidural did not work and the staff was quick in replacing it with the morphine pump. If I ever need hospitialization again, I would want to use the Bon Secours Health System.

I was very pleased with my stay. MOST of the nursing staff were very good to me, with the exception of the very first two nurses I had the first day.

The staff and all nurses were wonderful at the hospital. Everyone was so nice to me all the time..even the night shifters hehe.

For a hospital that serves at least 4 surgeons performing WLS they are ill equipped for super-size patients. Staff on 5E - the supposed bariatic surgery unit- has a couple of nurses who have had WLS and the rest haven't a clue as to the needs of a WLS post-op patient.

I received excellent care here. I recommend them very highly.
