It's a great hospital to have your wls. Staff was great and informative about Dr.'s expectations for you after surgery. Made sure you got up and walked, did incentive spirometer, used pain medication, take in fluids.

The night nurse was unattentive and loud. My pulse ox monitor alarm kept going off everytime I would fall asleep, (because of sleep apnea) and she would only tell me she couldn't hear the alarm, so she couldn't do anything about it. Finally at 4:30 am she finally got someone from respitory up to adjust the settings and I was able to fall asleep until about 6:30 when someone came in to get supplies out of a cabinet and was slamming all the doors. Waking both me and my husband.

I am so glad I only had to spend one night because I could not sleep. Every four hours they were taking vitals, every 6 hours they were doing blood sugars and at 4 am the lab tech turned on all the lights so they could draw my blood. That was the only bad experience I had here though!!

I never needed to use my call button. The staff seemed to know what I needed it before I knew I needed it.

I really felt quit privilaged that the hospital felt enough about its overweight patients to have equipment large enough to accommodate them as well as provide staff that I must say were pleasant all the time. I'm glad this was where my surgeon does his surgeries. I was more than pleasantly surprised as was my family.

The bariatric staff was absolutely top notch. In fact, everyone I dealt with at the hospital was outstanding. There was one girl who drew my blood twice who was not pleasant, but that is all. All the nurses, Drs, PAs, and nurses aides were the greatest.
