I really like Spectrum Hospital. The nursing staff was pretty good. I had nurses that were used to WLS patients. They respected my decisions and my privacy. I really appreciated that. I also had a Nursing Student (Kristie from Ferris) that was excellent! All of the Nurse Assistants were good as well. The staff kept bugging me to walk - which is a good thing. They did not bug me much other than that. The check-in lady in Outpatient Pre-op was very personable. The Pre-op staff was average. The Surgery staff was excellent. And like I said, the post-op staff on 7 North was pretty good! I would rate this visit overall a 9.

The nurses on the 7th floor, did not listen to my needs, and I was always taught that the nurse should always listen to thier patient. The ICU nurses were great, and I thank them all for what they did during my problems after surgery.

Yes I would do it again I have that much faith in my surgeon...and the hospital he likes to work at.

I was so impressed. I had heard some horror stories at support group meetings. One thing i did feel is that the nurse's are VERY caring and VERY overworked.

Admitting fast and efficiant. The nurses did appear busy, so I was grateful to be able to do as much as I could. They did respond within a reasonable time and were very kind.

no matter where you go you have different personalities moods of staff and level of personal service (sometimes it's the luck of the draw)

Week end staff was excellent but week day staff seemed a little burned out. I would recommend having your surgery on Friday.

One particular nurse was horrible. I could hear her talking about me out in the hall and she was complaining because I had needed help.
