Blodgett Campus Hospital
I LOVED my stay!! Everyone we came into contact with was very kind and ready to help in anyway possible!! When I would be up walking, all of the staff would smile, say "hi, keep up the great work", even the cleaning staff!!! The nurses, even ones that weren't mine, were very helpful and caring. The first night after surgery, you don't get a lot of sleep, but that's how it goes with surgery....they have to do vitals, make sure you walk, use the bathroom and get a blood draw. It was kind of okay because I had slept all day anyhow. The 2nd night however, they timed everything just right so I got 4 hours of sleep at a time....timing it with the 3am blood draw. I really appreciated that. I agree that the bed isn't the most comfortable, but I feel that having to sleep on my back, at a 45 degree angle made it worse. When I got home and was able to lay in a bed (propped with pillows), it was more comfortable. I can't speak for any other unit than the Bariatric unit, but because of my stay there this time, I would definately go there again!!! Best inpatient care I have ever seen firsthand (and my husband donated his kidney at U of M, and that was less than stellar). I recommend this hospital 150%!!!!!!!!!
