Atlanta Medical Center (COE) Hospital

The staff and the accomodations were great. I heard the helicopter twice while there but it wasn't that bad.

I did not want to go to AMC, but they proved my preconceptions incorrect. I was petrified to go to surgery. When I got to the holding area, a guy named Mark who was the anesthetist asked how I was doing. I told him I was petrified. He wiped me out. I knew nothing til I was in my room with my husband. Never even remember recovery. They were a blessing.

As the saying goes, "Never judge a book by its cover." When I first saw the hospital I became a bit concerned because it looked old from the outside. Naturally, I equated an old hospital with having old medical facilities and equipment that wouldn't be conducive to a patients needs. However, my initial assessment couldn't have been further from the truth. I found the medical facilities at AMC to be of very good quality and the Doctors, nurses, techs, etc were all very kind and helpful. My stay there was as pleasant as could be (considering the fact that we are talking about a hospital).

My hospital stay was one of the most pleasant experiences I could have had. I was hesitant about going to this hospital because I knew nothing about it prior to my surgery. The nurses were on top of everything. Everyone was knowledgeable and nice, I could'nt have asked for a better staff!

My hospital stay was wonderful. The nurses were kind and very helpful. Dr. Duncan's team was great. An overall perfect hospital stay.

Have not had surgery yet.

If you had to be in the hospital, this one was great ...

Very competent nursing staff. Especially the daytime nursing staff. I would like to give a special thanks to all of them who helped me.

Nurse Pat on the Baratic floor was wonderful. I think it would be a great idea if Baratics patients was not on the same level as the helicopter pad!!!

It was noisy when the helicopters came in and out, but other than that, I had a peaceful and restful recovery during my 4 days of hospitilization.
